“Had some quirks but was worth it to stay here”
Reviewed 19 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This was the 4th stop for my husband and I on our Croatian road trip. It was difficult for us to find the place and to contact the owners. (That was our fault though, we were given their phone number and did not realize that you need to actually dial the + before the phone number because it is a home number.) Parking was also an issue but will be an issue no matter where you stay if you want a great location. Valentino was very helpful in explaining their parking system there and showing us some free secret parking spots we could use if they ever came available. Parking is not that expensive though, however it is a pain to make sure you have enough change and to keep feeding the meter every few hours. It is a great big apartment and should have everything you need. They even have a washer which we used and then hung our clothes out to dry outside the window European style. (Note: If you need more space to hang your clothes you can also use the clothes line which is outside the window of the main hallway.) I would stay here again in a minute if we were going to Zadar. It is perfectly situated near the water and activities and the huge windows that face the ocean are absolutely beautiful. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the apartment is on the 5th floor and the building does not have an elevator, so you must climb a lot of steps each time you get back to the apt. The other reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the shower is a little funky and not easy to use. There was also a faint smell of smoke in the living room, but I don't think it would bother most people. Really once you see the location of the apartment and the huge beautiful windows that directly face the sea, all of the little negatives of the place begin to slowly disappear.
Note: Make sure you have plenty of change ready if driving into Zadar. You will need the change to feed the meter if you are parking and they do not have change machines. Also, for breakfast....we only found one café, (Il Padrino), that served breakfast and the eggs and bacon we ordered were very very greasy. I recommend getting a croissant instead.
