The hotel is basically fine, with a good balance between service and price. Our room was a bit small but comfortable, the AC worked, the breakfast was good (although not exciting); the owner was very friendly, as was almost all the staff. The location is very central, which is its main strong point as well as its weakness: during the hot season the main square of Veli Losinj is very noisy until late night. So, if you like that lively atmosphere until 1 or 2 in the morning, this is the place for you, otherwise I would suggest to look for a place in a quiter area of the city.

We only had 2 nights booked in Losinj. It is high season and everywhere was all booked up. We decided to just wing it and see what we could possibly find once we got there. We made our way into Veli which is so charming! I just love the whole feeling there. Anyhow, we walked into Villa Mozart just to check if by any chance there was a room for us and sure enough there was. and no just a room but a room with a great little balcony overlooking the village center and water where the boats all park at night. So great for hanging out and people watching at the end of the day. We also had an amazing surprise. There was a concert that was going on while we were there of traditional Croatian music. They had amazingly beautiful voices. Lots of people came and were sitting around the sidewalks there, but we had awesome seat on our own balcony! The room is quite small but was fine for us. A very simple bathroom and yes Thank God it had a great air conditioner! The owner, is this wonderful woman as well as her husband. She gets the amazing woman award as she handles all the cleaning of the rooms, plus there is a restaurant there not just for the hotel, but for the public and she cooks and runs this as well as booking all the rooms! And the price was really affordable and also includes breakfast. We had room 18. It looked like we had the only room with a balcony but i could be wrong if there were some around the side of this cute little hotel. The location is fantastic because there is a walk way right next to this hotel that goes for a long while all along the sea and the rock cliffs. The energy in Veli is very different than Mali. Both are great but i have to say i prefer Veli!

Room tip: Room 18 has a great balcony!
