We have been there already four times, after visiting many places worldwide, this is the best place to relax, enjoy nature, and re-find yourself. It is easily accessible by car, plane or helicopter.

Location: Nestled among the most remote and beautiful mountains, lakes and rivers the world has to offer.

Accommodations: Gorgeous modern cabins, with excellent facilities and unmatched views of virgin mountains, forests, native flora and fauna.

Food: Excellent, catered and delivered to your room or served in the main lodge. Wonderful opportunity to meet amazing people from all over the world at dinner time.

Service: Superb attention to detail and individualized attention. Miguel and Margot are incredible hosts, and wonderful guides who make you feel at home at the end of the world. Provided by locals with a deep knowledge of the local culture and history.

Activities: Unforgettable views, opportunity to take part in fishing, hunting, and trekking either by foot or by horse guided by knowledgeable locals well trained in their craft (kayaking, apiary amongst others).

Summary: Unforgettable experience, not to me missed by anyone who loves nature and all the magic that this land has to offer. We will be returning every year----for ever.

Two cabins set in a beautiful and peaceful location. The cabins are a little shabby and could do with some maintenance and updating. A good evening meal - freshly caught trout available -
but food a little expensive. A very good breakfast variety which is served in the cabin.
A wonderful place for those wishing to escape television and internet but a car is essential.

My husband and I stumbled upon Fundo Chollinco after having been utterly disappointed by all accomodation in Lican Ray. We simply hit the road and hoped to find something better - and Chollinco was simply wonderful!

The cabin was beautiful: all wood, clean, nicely decorated, and the wood stove kept us toasty throughout the night. The view from our windows was breathaking: the river rushing past surrounded by the mountains, flowers, trees, nature at its best.

The fundo is perfect for fly-fishers, but there are other activites: horseback riding, trekking, thermal baths nearby, canopy zipwires.

Within a few hours of arriving, we decided to stay an extra night...and then added an additional night the next day - we just couldnt bring ourselves to leave.

At night, we wandered up to the main house, to be warmly greeted by Guillermo with pisco sours and fresh cocktail-sized empanadas, followed by a tasty dinner (wild boar, fresh salmon, etc) with delicious Chilean wine. The other staff member we saw most of was Aurora, a charming lady from the area who tidied our cabin, did laundry, brought us bottled water and fresh flowers.

I could go on, but in brief, the staff were so friendly and charming, the accommodation was perfect, the food delicious, and the scenery is paradise.
