“A Memorable Week”
Reviewed 7 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The reason for staying at Riversdale Lodge, Symonds Yat was to help celebrate a zero rated birthday for oneself. The first weekend was with family, including four grandchildren and two dogs. Monday thru Wednesday was with the first batch of friends and Wednesday thru Friday with the second batch.
The result - perfection. And that was in everyone's view.
It's a fabulous house with five bedrooms, all effectively en suite. The kitchen proved to be big enough for all of us and the round table in the dining area held 13 people comfortably at the weekend. The living room with its wood burner was very comfortable.
Zip wire, trampoline, table football and pool kept everyone happy whatever their size and age. Shame we missed the swimming pool, but it was October.
It is perfectly positioned over the River Wye and you can take a fabulous 90 minute walk taking the rope ferry, just 5 minutes away and returning across the river via the rope bridge.
No complaints at all.

“A great rental for our family catch up”
Reviewed 4 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Great location, beautiful views over the Wye river, a sunny terrace and lots of good walks on the doorstep. The house had plenty of room for the 11 adults, 2 young children and 2 infants. Lots of space in the garden for everyone to play and the pool was a bonus and was warm enough to enjoy in late September. We'll visit again.

“Spectacular Holiday Home & Location”
Reviewed 3 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We arrived from Australia and spent a week with here with our UK family. We all said the website photos do not do the house justice, it exceeded all our expectations. Every room has it's own character and Christina has thought of everything that would be needed whilst cooking and entertaining. The kids loved all the facilities provided and they were jumping in the pool whilst we were being shown around by Christina on arrival. The location is great as we hardly used the car all week due to the great walks and local pubs. Symonds Yat and surrounds has so much to offer. We would all highly recommend a stay here and for large family groups - it's a great home from home!

“Magical long weekend”
Reviewed 16 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This made a perfect location for my birthday celebrations to be centred on. The house was lovely and the warm pool, zip wire and trampoline really appreciated by many of the group. Christina was so helpful with queries about the booking. We didn't need to get the car out from the ample car park for the whole weekend as there are so many things to do within walking distance. We all loved the hand pull ferry to the excellent Saracen's Head. The area is so beautiful that I can't understand why I've got to this advanced age before visiting it! We really hope to go back!
