Stayed twelve nights in Cambados and ate here on 3 nights. Food is served outside, in the bar area, and in a dining room on the first floor.
Whatever you choose is well presented delivered by enthusiastic staff.
'The Padron' is hands on and seems to keep an eye on at least 3 establishments in the square. The coffee was great and I was introduced to Baco brandy - we tended to end the night here. Thanks to Javier for the cigar.

An old gent in town recommended this restaurant and he was spot on!
Fantastic local wine, grown by Grandad, tasty seafood and s lovely little spot to sit.
Octopus, scallops, mussels and pork, all of which were great!
We liked the wine so much we bought a bottle to take away.

Our B&B operator had recommended her favorite seafood restaurant for dinner but it didn’t open until 9 pm — hard for Americans! So we went with the number-one rated TA restaurant, which was this one, and it did not disappoint. We walked right in without reservations, as we did not find anything in Galicia busy in early May.

The staff was very sweet and rustled up for us a young staffer (I think a family member) whom they said proudly was their best English speaker. We appreciated her! We made up a tapas-style dinner of all the seafood we’d been wanting to try now that we had reached Galicia in our three-week wander around northern Spain.

First, they had raw oysters, which we hadn’t been finding anywhere else (at least not for less than 3.5 euros apiece, yikes). They tasted perfectly of the sea, and we loved them. Second, we tried octopus Galician style, which we liked so much I think we ordered this dish 3 of the next 4 days. Third, we had scallops cooked in the shell which were delicious (our young server advised us to look for the big scallops in our travels called vieira I think but we never did find them). Fourth, we had the spider crab pate with a wonderful flavor. And of course a delicious bottle of local Albariño that cost less than a cocktail in the US. We also had a light and artfully presented dessert.

Loved this place, which is in the heart of town and has a cafe on the first floor and a dining room on the second. I’d make a reservation in busier times to make sure you get in.

We really enjoyed our meal and ate too much in order to sample lots of things. We found the tortilla one of the very best (huge) and had a gorgeous fresh salad. The wine produced by the owners Pepa y Loba is particularly nice. We enjoyed a chat and a drink with the owner Alvaro afterward and must say a word about Berta our lovely and helpful server.

So we first visited this gem of a restaurant 2 years ago. It was small, quaint with delicious food. We visited again a couple of days ago and the success of the restaurant is evident from the moment you walk in. There is a 2nd floor dining room now and staff serving other than the owner. The food is Michelin worthy cooked by the co-owner Maite. Expansion has had no effect on the quality of the food or service.

A must go when visiting Cambados!
