Great service from the workers of this hotel. You have a lot of services from the hotel. Maybe the bad point is that this hotel need update some installation over the room like the shower. But at the end great option for relax or business trip

Dear guest,

thank you for your visit and for giving us your opinion about our Parador. It is very satisfactory for us to know that you had a pleasant stay and that the service was good. We also want to tell you that we are making small reformations during the year in the kitchen, in the rooms, painting, etc. so that our building gets better and better but everything is very slow...
I hope you can visit us again, to check some differences.

Thank you again and best regards

This is not your typical heritage site Paradores but it is a nice hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We visited the worls's only cheese museum in town and it was very well done with some fine art displayed and wonderful sculpture. The town is small but full of charm.
The hotel parking is adequate but they hosted a wedding the night we stayed and it was problematic as was the noise level during the outdoor reception. The food in the restaurant was really good! The best of any of the Paradores we have stayed in. There was a buffet for dinner and honestly although the server kept trying to get us to order a fish or meat enter in addition...we could not have possible eaten more. Wait staff were efficient and the Maitre D very personable. We would stay here again!,

Room Tip: Ask for room away from road..although rooms seem somewhat soundproof.

I love the Parador chain: they very often offer excellent price-quality for hotels that are either in a splendid location or housed in a beautiful historic building. When we checked into the Parador of Manzanares I couldn't help wondering why this hotel is part of the Parador chain. It has no splendid views to offer, in fact it is located at a mere 100 metres off the E4/A5 highway from Madrid to Andalucia. The location looks like you would expect from a description like this: drab and sad. In fact the location is that of a typical highway motel where people stay at most one night on their way to somewhere else. Luckily this was also the case for us. Aside from the location that doesn't fit into the Parador brand, the hotel is neither housed in a historic building. So you really wonder why Paradores decided to run a hotel in that place? Having said that the room was nice enough and had a decent terrace. Given the proximity of the highway you had to take the traffic noise of trucks and speeding cars along with it though. The public spaces were pleasant enough. The waiter at the bar would not exactly win any prizes for hospitality or customer orientation. On the other hand the service in the restaurant was good and the food was traditionally Spanish but of good quality. So all in all not such a bad place for an overnight stay if you don't mind an ugly location, traffic noise and a surly waiter. The price helps in convincing though and I would say it was in line with the three star level of the hotel. The wifi was acceptable but expect no olympic speeds. Too bad the swimming pool was empty that could have made it just a tad nicer. All in all this was underwhelming for a Parador hotel. Some serious investment would be needed to improve this. However, if you can deal with anonymous road side motels devoid of any possible charm and you want a good size room for a reasonable price then it might be worth considering.

Room Tip: All rooms have terraces some facing the highway so better inquire when checking in.

Dear Mr. Marc,

thank you for your long opinion about our Parador. For us it is very important to know what you think about us and our chain. We are very glad that at least you had more or less a pleasant stay, in spite of the motorway. According to the fact of the location of the Parador, we just want to inform you that our Parador is the third most long-standing Parador in the chain(from 1932). At the beginning of Paradores there were no historic buildings, and the highway was built many years after (the eighties), so we were first in this place. Neither for us it is agreable to have the highway so near, but we can't do anything about it. Of course we will tell the headwaiter about the waiter so that this will not occur again.
Thank you very much again for your visit and best regards

Took us 90 minutes to find the hotel when we were within 5 minutes of it. The address is not detailed enough and the sign for the hotel does not say Parador de Manzaranes!

Wedding party went on till nearly 4 in the morning so not much sleep. And a jacket "disappeared" from our room on leaving ( our fault for leaving it there for 5 mins I guess )

When we were settling the bill and packing bags back into our car, we went downstairs for less than 5 minutes when my wife realised she had left a jacket in the room. When I went up, the room was already stripped and there was no sign of the jacket. Reported it missing but we were told that the chamber maids had found nothing - it was there, so be careful not to leave anything or it may cost you dear!

Food in the hotel was expensive and not overly good.
The room comfort was OK in fairness, but what happened has left a bitter taste.

I do hope that they improve the directions on the site so that others do not have the same problem as us after a long journey. If we had known to come off at junction 175, we would have. Km 175 means nothing in English! Please update your hotel sign too!

So for those reasons you get a bad score from us!

Dear Mr. Souster,

First of all we are very sorry that your stay was not satisfactory as it should have been and want to apologize for all the inconveniences you had. We will pass your suggestion about the direction on to our manager so that they try to change and update the signs.
Regarding the jacket, the day after you went, our laundry service told us that they found a blue jacket within the blankets... that's why my colleague didn't find anything in the room. It was our fault not to look between the laundry but we have your jacket here in the Parador if you are coming near our Parador in another occasion. We don't want that you think that we steal in this Parador because we keep everything under safe-keeping what guests leave in the room, but that day it went with the laundry and we are very sorry for that.
I hope you accept our apologies and we send you our best regards.
Yours faithfully

I can only advise people to give this place a wide berth. It's in a soulless part of town within a stone's throw to the bullring and extremely close to the motorway - the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The reception staff were very curt on arrival and there was no bar open. Eventually, we left and had a drink in the bar opposite. Never to return. Perhaps we were unlucky, but the two members of staff we encountered were far from welcoming.
