We stopped just for one night on our way from Sicily to home (Germany), because the good access to the motorways and easy parking, but the place is worth to stay longer. Very quiet, easy to find, close to a petrol station too. Plus it has a very good restaurant (people comes here from everywhere else to eat, so it was full on Saturday evening!). Wide range to choose in meals (not only pizza) and wine, lovely local products like cheese and ham.
Our room was in a smaller house, all is nice and cozy, bathroom with power shower.
The sweet breakfast buffet is full with cakes and stuffed croissants but for us they offered and presented quickly a salty version: omelets, cold ham and salami plate with bruschetta, it was fab.
Highly recommended.

This was our first visit to Italy. Our friends have been there many times and raved about Tuscany. I wanted to have a total Tuscan experience. This was the perfect place!
Restored farmhouse. We felt like family from the moment we arrived. Central location in Tuscany. Restaurant was excellent! Raffello and Lucca were were attentive to us at all times. We walked thru their orchard, with grapes, figs, pomegranates and olive trees. Rooms were very nice. We had a table and chairs outside where we had some wine and cheese that we had purchased along the way. Overlooking Tuscan hills and olive trees. Breakfast included- homemade jellies and cakes. We ended up staying an extra day. Perfect!

My wife, infant son and I stayed here in August 2015. This was the warmest and dearest reception and hosting we've ever received at any hotel - just genuine hospitality that made us feel like we were visiting our long lost Italian family. The rooms are very simple and tidy. Nothing extravagant, but clean, with showers that have good water pressure. The location is great, 40 min from Siena, on the highway so easy access to get around; noise from the highway wasn't an issue and the actual property is quaint. The best part was the hospitality and the food. The welcome was dear and warm, offering coffee and sweets. And the breakfast was awesome. Fresh tomatoes, omelette, breads, fruit. We also stayed at a high end hotel in the area (which was great), but this breakfast was just as good if not better. All for a really inexpensive price. Incredible. Highly recommended.

Excellente location if you are interested in doing day trips around Toscana and Umbria. We used as a hub for driving around and making those day trips. This place is family-run type and their charming and warm welcoming style makes you feel at home. The room we stayed in was certainly big and very luminous as well. Although it is next to the highway, you can't hear anything from the inside. We had our best sleep at this place! The restaurant that runs the family serves amazing food, homemade with that special touch of Italian family. We had a great time there, staying 5 days at this place, eating every night over there. Rafael and his family know how to entertain and welcome guests. Great place for a great value in every sense!

Albergio la Foresteria is a great treasure in the heart of Tuscany. We used it as a hub for driving around and exploring the region - Montalcino, Montepulciano, Sienna and even Lake Trasimeno are within 30-40 km reach. And after a day full of impressions (& photo & wine & great food) it was a real pleasure to come back in the evening here.

Well-equipped room in a stylish authentic building, beautiful views, but most importantly – cosy family-run trattoria and the welcoming warm family itself! They find time for a short talk, useful advice, treating you with a complimentary tasting or even arranging a real Italian cooking lesson upon special request! Food is great, wine selection is wide and the time spent at la Foresteria was an absolute pleasure.
