After a visit, while location-hunting for my wedding, I tried to initiate any kind of negotiations with the staff at the Masseria. The communication was very much money-centred as, quite frankly, there are so many nice places in Puglia and this has nothing more (nor less) than any other one of them.
One word? Expensive. They have VERY set ideas on what their "acceptable minimum" is for rooms, number of nights, number of guests etc. No wiggle room and also very little interest and care from the staff once they understand you're not the kind of client they wish to have.
The communication was in Italian and, as a marketing manager, I recognise when someone wants to get rid of me. That sort of also prospected to me what kind of service they would provide. I do not need that kind of karma on my wedding day.
Are you a good tipper? Then I guess it's worth a try.
