An immaculate hotel decorated with great taste, at the same time traditional and modern, and managed with warmth and friendliness, the Argonauta is perfect in its way as a small boutique. The staff is invariably helpful and kind, the location is central (but not noisy), and the breakfast is as plentiful as it is delicious. It is just a five-minute walk from the ferry terminal, next to several banks, surrounded by some wonderful stores, and across the street from a fabulous bakery.
Every room has a little balcony perfect for watching the world go by, and there is an exquisite upstairs courtyard, a sanctuary from the occasional Parian wind.

Clean room with typical layout. Balcony on the square (room12) was a great spot to sit. Bathroom is small by US expectations but typical for the price range. Cooked to order breakfast is great but can be slow if you are in a rush to get somewhere in the morning. Mattress is the weak point but not the worst I've slept on. Helpful staff with recommendations and directions. I would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend to a friend or a stranger.

This hotel has four apartments in a beautiful, authentic old Parian home in the old town. We rented all four and had the whole place to ourselves, except for the owners part of the house which is upstairs There are two larger apartments, one that can accommodate up to four and one that can accommodate up to three, although I have to say that the extra bed in the apartment for three was really hard and if we had had to use it, it would have been a misery. The other two are studio apartments that are perfect for a couple. All the apartment were very cute and all four had kitchenettes.
It is worth noting that the apartments use the hotel WIFI and it really only seems to work on the far side of the house but where it does work, it works well.
The apartments are located a 3 or 4 minute walk in to the winding streets of the old town and to check in, you go to the hotel front desk and someone will walk you to the apartments also, you check out at the hotel as well. They were kind enough to let us check out the night before so that we could just worry about catching the ferry in the morning.
Staying in the apartments in the old town was an amazing experience and it was a privileged to stay in such a charming traditional house.
It's also worth noting that although you can pay with a card to stay in the hotel, you must pay in cash to stay at the apartments.

Room Tip: The largest apartment shares an entry with the owner

What a delightful, stylish little boutique hotel in the heart of Parikia. We arrived on Paros by ferry and easily walked with luggage from the port to the hotel (5 minutes), where we received the warmest welcome.

The hotel is situated amongst the little, quaint cobble-stoned 'streets' (foot paths) of Parikia old town where it is strictly pedestrian traffic, and right at your doorstep are all the little boutiques, ice-cream outlets and dining options. Perfect for heading out for a stroll any time of day or night. Within minutes you are strolling along the harbour or beaches.

Our room was spotless, tasteful and well equipped with tv, air con, hairdryer etc, etc and lovely local bath products. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast (included) is wonderful - quantity and quality. We loved the fresh, local yoghurt, honey and fruit each day, freshly-squeezed orange juice, delicious french toast, eggs, baked goods and more. Argonauta is such good value for money. Actually, Paros generally is great value for money, so much cheaper than highly-touristed islands like Santorini or Mykonos. Accommodation, dining and shopping is all cheaper on Paros.

Directly opposite the Argonauta hotel is a fabulous bakery selling everything from freshly-squeezed juices and icecreams to Greek shortbread, baklava, bread rolls, hot savoury pastries and more. A perfect option for a very inexpensive lunch.

We stayed at Argonauta for 4 days which allowed ample time to visit other towns, such as Naoussa, and other islands, such as Antiparos and Naxos. After visiting Naoussa, we were glad we had chosen to stay in Parikia as we felt Parikia has more to offer (boutiques, atmosphere, not to mention the ease of using the port to visit nearby islands). From Paros port, Antiparos is an easy day trip. Best to visit in the morning as the shops all close for afternoon siesta and Naxos is also an easy day trip by ferry.
