Our stay at La Guillotiere was wonderful. Sean and Anne were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and very quiet. The breakfasts were delicious with several choices, including fresh fruit salad, granola, yogurt, French bread and fresh pastries daily. Anne made dinner reservations for us in a nearby village.....and it was excellent!! There were many beautiful areas/castles to visit in the region within a 20 - 25 minute drive away.......Amboise, Chenonceau, and Loches, to mention a few.
Since this B & B is in a quiet, rural area, a car is required.
We certainly enjoyed our stay at La Guillotiere and would highly recommend it!!

Room tip: I'm sure all the rooms are equally beautiful and quiet.

My husband and I plus 4 other extended family members stayed with Ann and Sean for 5 nights this September. We were attending a wedding in the area. Our stay was perfect. Ann and Sean are gracious hosts! We had quite a few changes, questions and details to iron out prior to our arrival and Ann was quick to respond and extremely helpful! Her dinner suggestions were spot on. The breakfast selection and presentation was superb. We also visited two local vineyards of her suggestion and thoroughly enjoyed them.
The grounds are beautiful and my daughter enjoyed visiting the sheep and horses along the long driveway. There is a guest kitchen that was great for preparing snacks and chilling wine that we had bought, and then enjoying by the pool. Oh and to top it all off, it is a great value.
Many thanks to Ann and Sean for making our trip memorable. I would definately return here in a heartbeat.

Room tip: We had the Yeats room, which was big enough to add a twin for my daughter. It was nice that our bath facility was broken up into two rooms. One held a toilet and sink, the other was a spacious tub/shower/sink room. It worked very well for three of us.

We used La Guillotiere as our base for touring the Loire Valley. It's located close enough to everywhere we wanted to visit. The building is lovely, as are the grounds (and pool) and the hosts, Ann and Sean were very warm and welcoming. All of Ann's recommendations were excellent, be it places to eat for vegetarians (a definite problem in France), places to visit, and which son et lumiere is the most worthwhile. The breakfasts were huge and delicious - with home made jams - we had no room for lunch later on! The kitchenette and fridge were very useful so we could picnic in the evening. Great value, and would definitely recommend it to any friends looking to visit the Loire. Thank you Ann and Sean!

Sean and Anne were excellent hosts, and made me and my husband and 2 year old daughter feel very welcome. There was access to a cot and a high chair, and our family room was spacious and comfortable. We all loved the delicious breakfasts. There was also access to a small kitchen, which meant we could cook up a small pasta or similar for our daughter when needed or prepare some snacks to take out with us. We could also use the main kitchen in the morning to heat up milk for my daughters porridge. There is a nice long drive way with sheep and horses to go and see, plus a very nice garden area. The house itself has a special something about it, and I am happy that we all had the opportunity to stay in it. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

My Girlfreind and I had one of the most special stays of our trip here. in a stunning and remote setting Anne and Sean made us feel so welcome and at home. We were greeted with a drink on arrival of there local aperitif "Epine", that we drank by the pool . Our room was clean , spacious decorated with style. Anne reccomended and reserved a really nice restaurant only five minutes away! In the morning the breakfast blew me away....Sean had prepared beautiful fresh fruit salad, home made scones and jams, five different types of bread (try the local goats cheese bread....amazing!) pastry and cheese! We were so sad to leave but we hope to return very soon!
