The hotel is a perfect solution for ski holidays. It is positioned very close to the Hintertux glacier and ski areas Finkenberg, Eggalm and Penken, with very good ski bus connections with these ski areas.
We have been staying here for 3 nights, having an apartment / family room with balcony. The apartment is very spacious and is equipped with a kitchenette, which is very useful for preparing tea / coffe etc. Breakfast is varied and sufficient to meet all needs. Ski bus station is located right in front of the hotel and the access to the Hintertux glacier takes a few minutes. Ski & boots room is spacious, with direct access from the hotel. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely return for next ski vacation in Hintertux. In conclusion - very good value for money. I highly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms with glacier view are fantastic

Hotel is at perfect location for a skiing holiday. Good facilities at basement for ski depot and service and great toilettes downstairs. No luxury but good value for money.

Restaurant was difficult case. It was difficult to know where customer is allowed to sit or not. Tables were reserved for breakfast with a sign, but You may not sit at Your "own" table in the evening. Also some minor misundestandings, seems that it's not clear who makes what in restaurant. Evening buffet price-value was good. Food was good but not excellent.
Toilet in room is extremely small, a bit outdated and hard to get in or out. Bathroom OK. Decoration from 1970's, but it's not so important when You are going for a skiing holiday.

This Hotel was a real favorite with 4-5 star rating, until the change of management during 2015.

The Hotel is located perfectly in the middle of the Tux valley with equal distance to both the glacier and the Eggalm/Rastkogel ski systems.

The rooms are clean and have all the facilities you need. The staff was friendly and helped out every time we had a question. Internet was free but the connection dropped out occasionally.

The problem that we found (as old guest, visiting for the fourth time) was that the food which was excellent earlier had been cut down to mediocre levels. The old management was intent on keeping the food quality on top and so there were 5 dish menus every night with top food. But that has changed to buffet servings now which is not up to the old standard. The food was ok but a little bland. And the desserts were just an assortment of cakes – every evening. This really killed it for us as the food was a big reason for us returning to this Hotel every year. I will probably be looking for another place to stay if this does not change.

The kids were also disappointed as the pool table that was a favorite hang-out for the kids to get to learn new friends, was removed.

So this Hotel is fine but don’t expect anything spectacular.

This is the 5th time we have visited and it has never let us down. The welcome is splendid, the rooms are fine and the food is varied, plentiful and pleasantly served. We visit in a fairly large group of varying ages. The majority ski but some simply walk the various routes in the valley. The Sportsbus stops almost outside the hotel (directly opposite for travel down the valley and about 100m away for travel up the valley) so getting to the slopes is very easy indeed. There are good ski storage facilities, a sauna, steam room and games room. Some of the group have been visiting here for more than 10 years.
Scenery is tremendous.
Coach travel time from Innsbruck is approximately 90 minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing up the valley so as to get the most wonderful view of the glacier.

Perfect location for skiers - between Hintertux glacier (~ 4 km) and Eggalm/Rastkogel/Penken (~ 2 km nearest lifts) areas, ski bus stops at the hotel (busstop Dr.Peer) every 15 min. Very kind and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms, good spa area and ski room. Special thanks to chef for tasty meals!
