We loved it in hotel Donnerhof. The village Fulpmes and its surroundings are great. There are plenty of things to see and do. We went to Stubay, very beautiful. The hotel is nice. Elisabeth helps you with all you need, gives great tips; she is a lovely host.

I stayed for a week, half-board for a walking holiday in September 2015.
The location of the hotel is ideal, being in the centre of Fulpmes village, near to shops and bus stops. The bus route serves Innsbruck and the entire Stubai valley, calling at the cable car stations and villages.
The staff members, led by the manager Elisabeth, are all pleasant and helpful. Restaurant service is very efficient without being rushed. Afternoon tea is very welcome after a day out walking. The Wellness suite and pool were also good for recuperation.
The hotel is very clean and is nicely appointed, with pleasant reception areas and a terrace with a classic view of the mountains along the valley. My room was spacious and also had a balcony with geraniums in the window boxes.
In summary, I think this is a great place to stay for a walking holiday, offering excellent accommodation and value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a view up the valley

This is a well run family hotel. And one of the few with a pool/spa area. So it not just a winter place.
Great service, proud staff, private table in the dinning room through the stay, FREE cards to all local transport - train, ski-lift etc. So it is actually cheap if you use the cards. But it is still a really nice place.
We had a junior suite with a balcony pointing to the end of the valley and mountins on each side - a better view don't exist between mountins

Spent two weeks here on an organised walking holiday in the Stubai. Elizabeth and her East European staff run a very friendly and efficient hotel. Food well up to expectation, including complimentary tea/coffee and cakes in the afternoon. Nice pool and sauna area.
Rooms on the front of the hotel have balconies with lovely views, but there were complaints about late night noise from the bar opposite at weekends. My room had only a view of the car park and the bathroom was a little in need of modernisation, but was otherwise fine.
The hotel supports a Stubai Card scheme which provides access to all gondolas, buses, the tram to Innsbruck and various other perks for only 56 Euros for two weeks - amazing value.

We were here for three nights in early October. Very nice room, great food, and the owner is the best host we have ever experienced. She has a very guest centered attitude and will do whatever she can to make sure your stay is excellent. Great base to explore innsbruck and surrounding area. The dinners are incredible and the schnitzel was the best we had during our two weeks in Germany and Austria. We will definitely be back.
