Helene and Harald are a lovely couple they made us feel very welcome, relaxed and they certainly fed us well. The Hotel is beautiful (has everything you could possibly want including an indoor pool) it's a very much loved family run business - very clean with lovely rooms in a super location for going out for the day walking up in the mountains or for a trip into Innsbruck. We had never been to Austria before and we loved it - a week wasn't long enough - we meet a German couple who told us it was the eighth time they had stayed there and I am sure we will be going back

We have spent the year end holidays at the Auenhof Hotel, it was the first time and all of our group of eight were enchanted by our stay. Hosts and staff are very friendly and obliging. The hotel beautifully decorated in Tyrolean style. Christmas and New Year festivities were organized with great care: traditional singing under the xmas tree by the children and the adults, grand fireworks at new year and lavish food and drinks all along. On normal days too food was very good, varied and plentiful. All necessary equipment for winter sports is available like rooms for ski equipment and other, with heated racks for shoes. Nice swimming pool, sauna, marvelously relaxing massages. Everything was kept perfectly clean. Top of the cake, the meals were served by the hostess and the waitresses dressed in beautiful dirndls and different ones every day. The rooms were adequately furnished, and more or less big according to price. For winter sports or walking everything is within easy reach from the hotel and the hosts Helene and Harald and their staff are very helpful with any information.

Room tip: Garden side for beautiful view

The hotel is situated outside of the village in a quite location, well appointed, decorated with love and taste in the alpine style, with paintings from the region and wooden sculptures. The service is attentive.
The standard double room was comfortably furnished, giving a nice view on the garden and the valley. Room and bathroom were bright and spotless clean.
The restaurant is inviting and tasteful furnished in warm colours, with heavy wooden beams on the ceiling. The breakfast buffet was well garnished. Eggs are cooked on order. As we stayed only one night, we are not able to judge the quality of the meal. During our one nights stay a BBQ evening was organised.
We regret that for the internet extra € 7.- was charged, that the cheese on the buffet was of cheap industrial quality and ice cream was of the kind normally sold by hard discounter. We are in the midst of a alpine valley where high quality products from the nearby farms are produced. For a 4 Star hotel we would have expected a kettle in the room for tea/coffee making.
Such small flaws make often the difference in the overall impression. They can easily be corrected. We can recommend the Auenhof as a nice property where it is worthwhile to spend time in a mountain decor of warmth.

It is lovely family running hotel, witha nice collection of religious and historical things around you, decorating walls, halls...you feel comfortable here. The family members care for their guests nicely.Cuisine is delicious, more than rich, relaxing area offers variety types of sauna, massage, swimming pool with small whirpool included.
I appreciated ski-storage room a lot where you can leave skis, boots.
Cross country ski trail is just behind the hotel, about 200 metres, leading you via beautiful valley , it is fantastic. Concerning down hill skiing there is possibility to take a cabin lift to Schlick 2000 even for not good skiers and beginners as taxi car will take you to mild hill with lift , immediatelly when you get off a cabin-lift. It was really such a beauty to ski in sunny days under Alpine tops.
