Had a lovely fry up today for £8. Don’t like black pudding so I had a extra egg instead. Polite staff and allowed my dog in

Popped in a couple of times while waiting for the ferry to skye. Had a breakfast last time which was a good standard scots fry up, with all fresh local produce and worth £8. service was polite and friendly and the locals chatty. will be back

Friendly service, and brilliant breakfast at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back. If you miss your hotel breakfast because you slept in, it is a life saver.

Most of Mallaig was closed when we visited on a Monday in February, but we were pleased to find that the Mission Café was still open. This is a simple, basically furnished café that serves good home cooking and is well used by the locals. The staff are really friendly and if you have small children this is an ideal place as they have a small, but fairly well stocked play area in one corner. They do a good range of very reasonably priced toasties/sandwiches/panini, baked spuds, and the fish and chips were great. The home-made cakes were very good too, and if you need entertainment while you wait for your lunch you could always pop into their charity second-hand book shop which is in the room next door first!

Just across from the railway station, the staff were very good to us, we had a selection of local produce such as delightful smoked salmon, also toasted sandwiches with warming drinks as it was snowy on the streets. There were artworks on the walls, and friendly locals to tell you more about Mallaig, its harbour and history. Looking around there were not may other places open so it was excellent to find the Mission cafe was serving food at very reasonable prices.
