I wstayed here as a weekend birthday treat as was visiting monkey world. I stayed in the portland room it was spacious and well decorated the bed was so comfortable.it had a patio area i enjoyed sitting outside in the morning having my cup of tea. The room had tea making facilities, the was complimentary biscuits (2×2 pack) there is a large bathroom with a large bath and shower the bathroom has complimentary bath/ shower gel along with hand cream which was great. Theres also a large built in wardrobe which has dressing gowns. Breakfast was fantastic you order the night before and was cooked fresh and was timed perfectly for when you go the breakfast room. There was a selection of cereals and also you can cook your own toast and there is also a range of homemade jams and homemade marmalade to try( they are lovely) i purchased some as presents. The hospitality was fantastic i would like to thank di for my lift to monkey world. Would recommend you visit if youre going to dorset all the hospitality and luxury you would get in a more expensive hotel

Stayed here for my partner's birthday as we were visiting Monkey World and Insight Activities! I can honestly say it was an absolutely relaxing and comfortable stay here. We stayed in the Portland Room which was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable I was out like a light both nights.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and heavenly breakfast!!

Checked in for 2 nights, we wanted to be pretty close to Monkey World. Lovely from the outside and doesn't disappoint once inside. Tastefully decorated, the room we had was spacious with both bath and shower. Breakfast was perfectly cooked (I don't like runny scrambled eggs) the home made lime marmalade was delicious. I meant to buy a jar to take home!!! Thank you to our lovely hosts for a very comfortable stay.

Booked 2 nights, as planning a trip to monkey world. Ideally located for many local attaction, Monkey World, Tank Museum, Weymouth,Durdle Door and the south coast.
Arrived late, after sending a polite email to say we were grabbing a bite to eat, and met with a very warm welcome and shown to our fantastic room. Spacious, massive bed, all the home comforts needed, fast wifi, spotless, huge bathroom and amazing shower. Breakfast is available to suit every taste, and filled out the form to say what we would like, and at what time. Breakfast is well cooked, and well presented, and plenty of tea, coffee, extra toast, cereal, fresh fruit, honestly, couldnt fault it.
Off out through the guest entrance for a great evening at The Drax Arms, a 5 minute walk, and with great entertainment thats in the rear bowling room, and was free. We were lucky to get Folk Night, which was informal and great fun.
Left after our second evenings perfect sleep, and couldnt believe how lucky we had dropped with David and Lornas beautiful B&B. Very proffessional, yet perfectly relaxed and family orientated.
This is one of the finest places ive had the pleasure of staying, from any price range, and any star rating. We will be telling all our friends about the Old Mill, and we will definately be returning as there is so much to do around there, and we have barely scratched the surface

Thank you to you both for making our little get away even more wonderful

Room Tip: great location, nice and quiet rooms, great hosts, very accomodating all round

We stayed here for just one night, but were impressed by the friendly welcome from David and Lorna. The mill has been beautifully converted with comfortable and spacious rooms, and the local pub is easy walking distance.
