So glad we booked this place, as I had anticipated it is far enough away from the maddening crowd. Whist Polignano was easilly accessed we were far enough away to enjoy the tranquility. Food is served (dinner) on site / and there is a walk-able restaurant nearby - but one needs a car anyway.
The host is very attentive and was very helpful in sorting out our itinaries. he was also keen to show us the developments for the new swimming pool - which will no doubt be wonderful.
The place is steeped in history & still has a chapel on site. Apparently it had been the home of the bishop till C 1870.

Our room was comfortable as indeed was the bed. B'fast is the usual italian cheese/meat & cakes. Cappuccino was available if requested.

Would we return ? Most definitely! We could spend a week soaking up the atmosphere & swimming in the lovely (to be ) pool.

We rented two rooms for 3 nights, which shared a common foyer with couches, on the second floor and accessed by outdoor stairs. Our room opened onto the roof over the chapel making for a relaxing roof top view over the property and surrounding countryside. Room interior was spartan with an older bed frame in keeping with a certain period ambience perhaps. Our bathroom with shower was two steps down and a little small compared to our friends who had a larger bathroom but no shower in the tub. Not the most convenient for them but nevertheless they loved the place.

Breakfast was good enough with cakes, ham and fresh eggs from the coop out back. We also had supper twice at Crocifisso tasty enough and filling.

There's a fairly large swimming pool built and landscaping was just getting underway when we were there in early April so I expect that to be operational for the summer 2017.

Our room rate was quite reasonable at 75 Euros a night including breakfast. Overall our host and his wife were very friendly. I'd recommend this masseria to anyone looking to enjoy a stay in the country near Bari and only 4 km's from Polignano a Mare.

After having eaten in several local in town restaurants we found that Bettino's cooking surpassed them all with a strong focus on local Puglian cuisine. The owner was very affable and attentive and we were made to feel most welcome. The accommodation was very peaceful and well away from busy roads and an ideal place to visit Bari and the surrounding area

We were here just for one night. The place is perfect if you need to escape from the city and the crowd. It is immerse in the country side and in the silence. There is no wifi in the room, so good if you want to enjoy a good book. Breakfast was beautiful and freshly cooked by the very friendly owners. Room was big and furnished in an ancient way that throws you back in the 50s. Unfortunately the room was really hot and the portable air con that we asked for was leaking water so we were afraid to use it during the night. There is no fridge in the room so we were suffering for the heat with no cold water.

Very friendly owner, a pity that the lady who received us did not speak any English.
Cake and marmelades at breakfast, no ham, cheese, eggs, a pity if you do not like sugar. Very conveniently situated.
