We visited the Buddha Bar for dinner and drinks the night after our wedding.

The food, drinks and service was all fantastic.

The cocktails are very pricey, but you are going to somewhere that is a luxurious evening in my eyes.

I would highly recommend the salmon for dinner, and the cocktails were delicious!

The views from this venue are absolutely beautiful and it has such a relaxed atmosphere.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind feedback and for sharing your experience with our team.
Regarding our cocktails, please note that they are made out of home made marmalades and special ingredients where are nowhere else to be found. Thereofre, we believe that our cocktails are a good value for money, as also being followed by the Caldera view experience.

Hoping to have you again with us on your next visit in Santorini.

Warm regards,
The Buddha-Bar Beach Santorini Team

- This post is marginally late, we dined in late July 2018.
- Booking...9pm advised they weren’t sure if we were planning to eat or not so sat us down in booth and finally brought first round of cocktails and edamame at 10pm.
- Previous B.B. experiences...NYC, Mykonos, Prague, Paris, Monaco, Dubai.
- Referred friends from US to attend same night on basis of previous experience
- Spicy Mango cocktails tasted like mango cordial, no spice, no rum!
- White Princess cocktails were great.
- Finally sat for dinner after asking 3 times for a table at about 10.20pm. We understand the theme of Buddha Bar is loud music, but with a speaker positioned directly over our table, it was near impossible to hold a normal conversation.
- Our waiter introduced himself, seemed lovely but never saw him again until paying the bill.
- Had to tear another waitress off another table to order our meals.
- Ordered their best local Sigalas wine, a wine made on tour island, only to be greeted by sommelier explaining they didn’t have it but he would supply us with one from another island at same price. Suggested it was similar style wine, but was un-oaked contrary to the advice of previous waitress that advised the Sigalas was in French oak maturation for 12 months.
- He went on to say that he had another recommendation for a wine to enjoy with our mains but he never returned to our table, not even to pour the second glass of our first bottle.
- Half the meals served were enjoyed by our group, even though we had to remind them to bring our sides half way through our mains.
- At this point, close to 11.30pm, rather than returning to our designated booth for table service drinks post dinner as we had planned, we decided to ask for the bill and leave. I went over to find the American friends we had referred only to find that they had also left...no surprises there!
- Complaint to original waiter was acknowledged.
- On departing, I went inside to complain further, but no surprise to me I couldn’t find anyone so went to the toilet only to find the paper towel supply was exhausted.
- I have never complained about overpriced restaurants as I am well prepared to pay the price for a quality meal and drinks delivered with good service, but in this case my fingers went into a tremor bypassing the requested tip and punching in my PIN for $700 with a memory of one good cocktail.

Dear Mr. Gavan,

Thank you for your feedback.

Kindly note that our restaurant works mostly with reservations. This is also what we suggest to our customers in order to avoid the waiting list.
Since you visited our restaurant without a reservation, our team did its best to have you seated in a table as soon as there would be an available one.

Further to this, please note that during that time, tables are occupied due to the sunset time which is just before this time. Therefore, all guests and orders are at the same time and it could take a bit more time sometimes to deliver the orders on the tables.

Regarding the wine that was out of stock, the waiter was kind enough to suggest an alternative close to what you had requested for. Although, there were plenty of choices that we could assist you with.

We regret to find out that we did not meet your expectations and hoping to have you again with us on your next visit in Santorini for a memorable experience.

Warm regards,
The Buddha-Bar Beach Santorini Team

The place was beyond beautiful but it was a little disappointing to see so few options on the menu. After almost deciding to leave we decided to try a few things out on the menu that looked pretty basic like the chicken curry katsu and some other dishes. Everything that came out was uniquely made and tasted amazing! The presentation was superb. Definitely glad we stayed.

The food was dreadful the drive overcooked stuck together. The beef was like it was cooked all day. Charged 30 euro for a child portion of this on top of that 7 euro for water. The service excellent place clean. However toilet seat broken toilets floor covered in water footsteps. We are always told the quality of hygiene in bathrooms indicate the quality of hygiene in the kitchen so my stomach turned.
The upside amazing views lovely furniture. The management need to get their act together if you have a beautiful place serve beautiful food. Give quality and do it well. This place let itself down so badly. I have no problem paying for quality food but not for what I got served here. Piece of advice don't eat here..

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback.

Further going through to your review, we came across your complaint about the cooking method. Kindly note, that dishes may vary from dish to dish. Our guests are requested to choose the cooking method when it comes to meat.
Additionally, our menus are available at the main entrance and are also being handed in to our guests before ordering. Therefore, guests are able to decide whether they wish to dine with us.
Prices for each dish and beverage are as well available on the menus.

Kindly note that the public toilets and kitchen of the hotel are being cleaned every in a while and hygiene is being followed properly. The situation which you are being referred to could be in between.

We regret to find out that we did not meet your expectations and looking forward to welcoming you back again in the near future in order to exceed them.

Warm regards,
The Buddha-Bar Beach Santorini Team

We were recovering from a disastrous catamaran trip, overcrowded and very unclassy, we decided to go enjoying some drinks out. We ended up at the buddha bar where we tried food drinks and were pleasently surprised to find put they also had a cigar selection, which paired with a wonderwul metaxa cognac really saved our day. Top staff, top drinks and amazing food confirmed our thoughts that this is a really special place
