My husband and I stayed in Santorini for 6 days, as part of our 20th anniversary celebration. We chose to stay at the San Antonio, which proved to be a great decision. The hotel was located in Imerovogli on the road toward Oia. We had a beautiful view of the caldera and chose to stay in a private villa with a private sundeck and hot tub. Each morning we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. They worked hard to provide us with local traditional greek fare, as well as continental fair such as omelets, toasts, eggs & bacon, etc. The greek treats were delicious. We chose to eat at the restaurant one night for a tasting menu. The food was not only delicious, but beautifully presented - so much so, that my husband sent photos of each course to my brother-in-law who is a chef. The retstaurant's chef and his staff took great care with food that rivaled high end restaurants on the island. The concierge worked hard, before our trip, to help us arrange many activities on the island, including all our restaurant reservations, as well as a day long private boat tour of Santorini. Each day they would bring treats to the room -- cookies, greek treats, a bottle of wine, only to name a few. The night before our final day, I asked for an early breakfast, as we had to leave by 7am for the airport. at 6:30 a man from the restaurant showed up with enough food for breakfast lunch and dinner -- greek pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses , as well as a pot of coffee and a pot of tea. Needless to say, we were not able to eat it all. Overall, this was a great choice of hotels -- for the view, the service and the quality of the staff and the food.

Room Tip: Depends on your price point. The quality of rooms are the same, but the room amenities differ - i.e. pool, privacy

We stayed here for 5 nights. It was amazing. The views of the sea are the best. The staff was very helpful. I worked with Martha before we traveled and she gave us suggestions for restaurants. She made the reservations for us. She was such a pleasure to work with. Everyone was so nice. The restaurant was really good. It was in a great location. I cannot wait to go back. We loved Santorini

San Antonio is a very neat hotel sporting one of the best views of the caldera. It is located in between Oia and Fira, closer the former. Hence is it very quiet and would be perfect for visitors seeking relaxation and meditation. A taxi or a rental car would be needed however to visit the villages. The staff (Toula and Martha, and many others) is amazing and very helpful; they go out of their way to help you and ensure a comfortable stay. I would recommend to chose the rooms carefully as some have the best views of the caldera, others are have less privacy than others, especially the ones without a better tub, as they are located right off the main pool. Accordingly they are priced differently. Overall, we had a great stay and we highly recommend it.

We stayed here just one night and it was just amazing I hope to go back to this place for more. We stayed in room with hot tube and the best view you can imagine. You can just sit in your tube and enjoy the view. Complimentary wine and fruit. The pool is amazing. Breakfast just out of this world.

Room Tip: the best luxury stay and view

We’ve just arrived home after an unforgettable stay at the San Antonio. This tranquil hotel was a welcome change after staying two nights in the busy capital of Fira. Situated on a cliff face between the towns of Imerovigli and Oia, the hotel offers breathtaking views over the Aegean Sea. The staff were professional and efficient. Especially Nikolas who looked after us so well during our stay. We must also mention housekeeping at the hotel and their evident hard work to keep our room and the hotel spotless at all times. We came to Santorini looking for relaxation and for that reason I couldn’t recommend the San Antonio highly enough.

I find it hard to fault this hotel. The San Antonio could benefit from a gym however I discovered a scenic route to Imerovigli, which I ran one day. I agree there is somewhat of a race for the beds beside the pool most mornings but this didn’t really bother us.

Thank you for making our stay so special. We look forward to seeing you again!
