After a long coach journey, the Bellevue was a good looking hotel with an amazing view. Check in was efficient and our room was in the main building. We had a room at the back of the building, looking out to the mountains and trees and the car park! The room was well appointed and comfortable on the whole. The bed was too soft and not very supportive for anyone with a bad back.
The real down side to this hotel is the food. The actual flavours and selection are not bad. However, the problem was one of temperature. The food was not kept at a high enough temperature, this could be sorted by getting a plate warmer, as found in most other hotels and by putting lids on the containers of food as they sit in the steam baths. The cold drinks were so severely watered down that they were barely coloured water and the staff were much more interested in clearing plates than refilling anything that ran out.
The area is very quiet and exactly what you need to get away from everything. However, the WiFi is free and good throughout the hotel. There are lots of mosquito around the hotel, would be good to take some mosquito repellent with you.
