Such helpful and friendly family-were given a warm welcome and allowed to check in early.

This was great for us as we had a bit of a rest before heading out to the beach.

The owner showed us the area on a local map and pointed out a very nice beach we would not have to pay to use.

Lots of birds here-even had a pair of Toucans eating a papaya outside our room!

Appreciated the air conditioner. Bring your own shampoo. Would stay here again

We stayed in one of the basic rooms for a total of 7 nights (we came back for another night because we liked the family and the food so much). The air conditioner and the fridge were really useful. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Victor and his family are very friendly and welcoming and provide lots of useful information regarding local sites. They have a lovely garden around the restaurant and a nice, wild area with trails on the property. Cindy and Hernan run the restaurant and the food and friendly service is fabulous. All highly recommended. The Costa Rica football team even put on a great show for us on the big screen in the restaurant. Go La Sele football!!
The location is not close to the beach, but is very conveniently close to the bank and grocery store and not far from the lovely waterfall. They also will provide bikes to get to the beach. We wished we had time to take one of Victor's highly rated kayak tours of the mangroves. Next time.

We had to find a location to stay, because we had to cancel our stay at Corcovado Parc due to the heavy rainfall in that area. We selected several hotels in Uvita by our Lonely Planet book. Nearly missed this hotel, because our GPS gave us the wrong directions. When heading to another hotel, just bumped into it. Yes, finally found!

Plus: Got a very friendly welcome, therefore we decided to stay.
Plus: The simple rooms are clean with enough space and a sun-solar shower. Only the airconditioning we didn't use because of the noise, but the fan that was there also was sufficient and fine. For us the room was all we needed. If you wanted you could sit outside your room in a public space (shared with the other rooms) with some benches.
Plus: The great delicious food made by one of the family members herself was delicious!! Never seen a person that passionate about food. She checked and double checked ;-) if we liked it. Sure we did!
Plus: we booked a kayaking tour in the mangrove forest. Another family member did this tour with us. It was a great tour, he could tell us a lot of information about the mangrove. Making photographs of us during the tour was not his quality, but even though the tour was really cool!
Plus: if you want to get a feeling of the real Costarican family life, book this hotel!

Warm greetings, Ingrid and Oskar from Holland

Room Tip: You can choose a private room in the forest too if you like more privacy. They cost a bit more.

A family-run very nice place. The owners are super friendly and helpful and Cindy's English is almost perfect. The standard cabins are simple but they were super clean. The a/c is a bit old-fashioned and loud but does the job. The food is excellent.

Had to grab a last minute room in Uvita due to the highway being blocked and found Los Laureles. As with most small towns in Costa Rica the dirt road getting here is bumpy but once here it is well worth it!

The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. It is very obvious that the owners (family run business) really care about their business, customers and go out of their way to accommodate you!

Also their restaurant (separate trip advisor page) is OUTSTANDING! Their menu changes often based on what fresh ingredients are available.

Five stars for:
Rooms clean and neat!
Great service!
Great Value!
Wonderful Food!
