We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Areklo - and extended our initial booking from 2 nights to 4 (which was the remainder of our Bali holidays). the place is absolutely beautiful, the rooms tastefully and stylish decorated, the (spring water) pool is fantastic, and we spent a lot of time on the terrace with views on the rice paddies.
We also enjoyed our late breakfasts - which meant ordering anything (especially the yummy pancakes with banana & honey) at any time we felt having breakfast (no annoying 10/11am cut off times!).
Besides all these fantastic features - the help & advice by the staff and the owner Andre were absolutely invaluable!
We had done admittedly very little research before our holiday, also because we were looking for a chilled out holiday. Andre & his team were lovely and gave us some good ideas and tips on things to do & see - which meant we avoided Ubud itself during the day - but did a trip to the volcano & some temples, went water-rafting - or hung out by the beautiful pool.
In the evenings, we had dinner at the recommended places which were all great!
All in all - we had an amazing time - much more than we had hoped for, and we can't wait to go back!
It should be noted that Villa Areklo is a little bit outside of Ubud - but thanks to the free...We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Areklo - and extended our initial booking from 2 nights to 4 (which was the remainder of our Bali holidays). the place is absolutely beautiful, the rooms tastefully and stylish decorated, the (spring water) pool is fantastic, and we spent a lot of time on the terrace with views on the rice paddies.

It should be noted that Villa Areklo is a little bit outside of Ubud - but thanks to the free shuttle service, (you basically just tell them when you want to go to town, and get a card so a restaurant or whereever you are can call them for the pick up, until 9pm) it's really not a problem. we felt it was even better than wandering Ubud's streets and having to negotiate the taxi fare every time....with the pick-up service we had the peace of mind of having transportation sorted out.
We are recommending this place to all of our friends as there is absolutely nothing we did not love :)More
