Staff very friendly, food at the restaurant very good but bit expensive. Easy access to the sea, also you can walk on the beach and try food from other places and cheap. Not great area around the hotel.

we stay there 3 weeks at Mbuyuni at Jambiani Beach and we love it. Very nice Bungalows close to a beautiful white sandy and not crowded Beach.

The Rooms was spacious and clean and many nice places with hammocks and swinging Bed with Beachview invite you to relax.
The Food was one of the most delicious i have ever eaten in all my travels. Fresh, creative and just awesome.
the owner are locals and their family own this resort for many years and not owned by a rich foreigner from other Countries.
Everybody from the Resort was very kind, friendly and helpful. They organize tours or a driver and also special wishes like vegatarian food is no problem.pick up from Airport is possible too.

At the Breakfast was a great choice of fruits, sausages, beans, toast, marmelade, pancakes, coffee, juice eggs and more.

we was completly satisfied and sad to leave this relaxed and beautiful place with the great people.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. It was low season so we had huge rooms with extra beds and a nice large bathroom. The rooms had fans but no air conditioning, but that was sufficient to keep us cool. The pool area was lovely and there were lots of relaxed places to sit - swinging beds and chairs, hammocks - perfect to enjoy the sunshine and read. Breakfast was included and nice. Staff were helpful.

By all accounts - AVOID THIS HOTEL....... On arrival we were shown a room far from the rest of the rooms. We asked for another room but were told there were none. This was a lie. So... we put our baggage down, locked the room and whilst having lunch our room was broken into and everything, absolutely everything was stolen. We were left with just the clothes we stood in. At the hotels request we were encouraged to go and look in the neighbouring bush in case we found something. We recovered some of our bags and some clothes but of course, all valuables were never found ie. x2 cameras, x2 binoculars, x1 Ipad, x1 phone and all the charges, batteries etc. Bags were not found and best clothes stolen. What followed was a frustrating meeting with the police who, as you may know in Zanzibar, have no power, he arrive don a bicycle and after bribery produced a police report 3 days later. At this point we left the hotel as we never felt safe. During the 3 days we asked to be moved to a safer room but the water was non-existant at certain times of the day so we had to use another room on the site to get a shower. Everyone we spoke to, including family who live in Zanzibar, highly suspected this hotel and its staff as being the culprits. We feel we have to warn you to be very careful. There is absolutely NO security at this hotel which has a wide open beach in front of it where anyone from the beach side or from the road can walk in. furthermore, the beach at Jambiani goes very very far out and is not swimmable at all. There is a strong seaweed smell into the hotel grounds which we found unpleasant. Main complaint - we couldn't trust anybody there - some pretended not to be able to speak English when they found it convenient not to. You cannot trust them even though they will come across as being very sweet - it's a game......

Room Tip: Be careful, if you choose certain rooms you will have no water to shower with.
