We went into Cramptons because my husband wanted to watch the football and the other pubs we passed were crammed full. I have a mobility problem so have to have a seat.

We moved down the road and found Cramptons which were advertising the football so we went in. We moved down to the end of the pub (just in front of the garden area where they have beach huts to have your drinks in the summer and are just wonderful!). We managed to find a table right in front of one of the screens.

While there I was looking through the menu and as we were going to have a meal at the Harvester just after the football we did not want anything too heavy. We chose the nachos. They came out on a very large plate with plenty of them and they were covered in cheese, salsa and jalapeno peppers (very hot!) with separate pots of guacamole and sour cream. They were absolutely gorgeous and made the football even better - especially after being washed down with a glass or two of chilled Chardonnay and Stella for the husband!

The waitresses were so friendly and could not do enough for you. We will be back!!!

We arrived at lunch time and was surprised how busy things were. We managed to find a table for 6 which was a little cramped but worked out well. There was a bit of a delay in getting our food( about 1/2 hour which we were told about). Thag was fine as we had drinks. They serve an extensive bar menu which was reasonably priced.
The only thing I could criticise was that there was a live footbal match being shown which was a bit noisy but then it is a pub after all. This didn't cause us a problem but then it might others.
Good value for money and staff kept updating us about the time.
Would certainly go back again and we sometimes do.

The food here is excellent value and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The £5 2 course meal deal is exceptionally good value, with the best soup.
We were impressed with the Christmas lunch meal on offer at the moment
Lovely sunny enclosed garden and very child friendly.

I had to write a second review as this place hasn't changed. The food is excellent value and the staff really are wonderful. They all welcome you and make you feel truly at home. I think I said previously that you wouldn't get a better welcome at many 5* establishments. Well done that this is so consistent. Then there is the food, two courses for £5!! Having said that the food is very good. I had the home made mushroom soup to start followed by chicken fajita.....excellent.

They have a new addition in the garden, they now have beach huts which were so nice as it was rather a windy day when we were there.

If you haven't been here, it is well worth a visit. They also have offers on the drinks too.

We visited here for lunch as a family. Sat in a lovely 'beach hut' in the garden and ordered lunch from the £5 lunch meal deal. Not only was this cheap food it was also delicious. Plus service was 5 star! Would recommend
