One of the best stays i had so far. It is shown that the owner Michalis has put a lot of his personal taste in the property. We had the previllege of getting a showround the newly built Elakati boutique hotel. Every room is a new experience with a different theme. We satyed at the "Castle suite" on the 3rd floor. A 2 room suite so we had a living room area too. Our theme was medieval luxury with hand made iron and stone and wood decoration - a hudge metal clock on the wall (handmade) was the cherry on the cake. the great thing was that old and new was combined perfectly since we had different light scenarios according to the mood (sleep, read, wine etc) in a medieval decoration. The rooms are actually better looking than the photos!!

Excellent location walking distance from old town 2 min, main shopping street 1 min, Elli Beach 6 minutes. No need for a car unless you want to explore the island. Of course you can get the luxury cocomat bikes that are available for guests free of charge and take a ride around the city (after 6 in the afternoon as sun is hot before).

Restaurant environment again high end artistic taste as far as decoration is concerned. Tastefull bamboo and metal chairs old - like hand made sourundings but a very modern feel. Food was fantastic and table amenities where full of surprises. Won't ruin it by writing about it (i only mention that olive oil was placed on our table in a perfume bottle!! :) breakfast was made of local ingredients and we never missed one no matter how late we slept the previous night :) A good wine list which you can see in the cellar and a chef that loves to experiment with tastes.

Pottery classes in the basement was something we never experienced before and always wanted to try so it was a great surprise.

Finally the cleaning ladies were doing a great job and always wanted to do the extra mile.

When i think of Rhodes I think of Elakati
