I've been there last September with my mother and grandmother. Hotel is really nice, comfortable, tidy and cheap but it is far from the beach (around 30 minutes on foot). We had a little misunderstanding with owners, because we thought that he will take us to the airport for free and we were wrong (this service costs additionally). However hotel have many advantages: near to bus stop, pretty, traditional design, free access to the swimming pool and free transfer to hotel from ferry (but not free in the opposite direction - remember that!).

We stayed here for 3 nights in one of their family rooms which was in the annex building opposite the pool bar area. The Good: firm mattresses made for a comfy sleep. Air con good, wifi good. Pool bar very nice with stunning views of cliffs. Pool good for swimming - lovely. Friendly family. Free transfer to and from the port which was very welcome.
The Bad: poor shower - really a hand shower which was a bit grubby and the head came unscrewed once, spraying everywhere. I am not a fan of wet rooms so for me the bathroom felt unsatisfactory and a little unhygienic. No bin in the room - was told we could be given a plastic waste sack instead.
Overall, good budget place to stay but don't expect any frills.
About Location and area in general; next to a busy road (main road which connects Perissa and Fira). Perissa town and beach - ~30min walk, Perivolos beach ~15min walk. The main road is busy with coaches thundering down and quad bikes (ATVs) and motorbikes making a lot of noise. No pavements and some properties had walls coming onto the road, which made for an uncomfortable slow walk in the hot sun on a dusty road. Local buses are unreliable and packed, and the timetable very confusing and not something to rely on! Better street lighting and pavements needed badly!

We were a family of four and had a studio apartment. It is a bit crammed for four peoples if the children are teenagers. There was a dying cockroach in the bathroom when we arrived and one in the tea kitchen the Night after. Otherwise the hotel was clean. Nice balkony. Very close to busstop and supermarket. Fantastic poolbar with great service. Not gourmet food but for a snack it will do. The staff Can take you to the AirPort and port for free.
If it was not for the pool bar i would rate lower.

Five Australian 20 year old girls travelling on budget through Greece - we had another reservation in Santorini where the hotel had no pool !!!
Called Hotel Perissa in a frenzy when we arrived at that other hotel and they were nothing but accomodating !

Told us to come straight away, treated us fabulously. Great family business where customer service is number one !! Great BIG pool (with water !!!), clean liveable rooms and inexpensive food/drinks available at the pool bar. Close to Perissa and 10minute walk to the black beach !!
Budget travellers paradise, but also great for families, couples or groups of friends !

The lovely family showed us the bus stations and helped us with all enquiries, felt so welcome and the family took a genuine interest in their patrons lives.

Could not have been happier and more comfortable !
Thank you so much for your help, best of luck in business and life to this beautiful family !!!
