We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our 2 year old daughter. Unfortunately it would seem that children are only welcome here if they are ‘seen but not heard’. Both myself and my partner were made to feel unwelcome by both the manager and certain guests at the hotel at points during our stay. The atmosphere was often hostile. The bedroom we were staying in was also unsuitable for small children which was not clear on the website with the bathroom upstairs meaning it was impossible to not disturb our daughter. In addition, the restaurant does not open until 7pm and often no one will take your order until 7.15/7.30 so not to be advised with small children as by the time food came our little girl was often beside herself with tiredness. All in all a real shame. A beautiful spot and lovely area but wish it was made clearer this hotel appears to cater almost entirely to couples on romantic getaways and NOT small kids who clearly ‘spoil’ the atmosphere.

this really is a spa, with facials, massages, etc. My room was not quite up to the boutique level I expected—no shower cap, a mysterious charge for a bathrobe, and somewhat iffy wifi. The A/C was noisy and really not needed. We had excellent dinners and breakfasts to prepare us for the wonders of the gorges.

Thank you very much for your reviews about the spa! Indeed we are lucky to have very good and profesionnal therapist.

We won't have shower cap or some amenities in the room in order to protect environment from small plastics and waste (according our Europ Ecolabel), let's protect nature and animals, insects, etc as long as we can...!

Best regards,

SB

We spend the weekend here and this hotel is worthy of seven stars ! Excellent staff, food, wine and a beautiful room. I had a facial in the Spa with Amelie and it was without doubt the best facial treatment I had ever had in my life in any country !

We booked a room with a king size bed. It was not large, but certainly had enough space for two. Nicely designed with a funky headboard. The staff were welcoming and offered us a wonderful suggestion to drive a loop by the hotel in the canyon. Unbelievable! We had a good dinner at the restaurant and a fair buffet breakfast. A few suggestions for the hotel...cover the blue light on the TV, provide wash cloths, change the hair dryer (an old style box and hose hairdryer) and provide instructions on how to moderate the heat of the towel rack (it got very hot and we could not figure out how to cool it down. It made the room hot). The facilities appeared very family friendly. My husband enjoyed the steam room by the pool.
The hotel is in the centre of the canyon area so a good spot to spend the night.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and I would say I needed more. The place is like an island of serenity, the only noise you can hear is just a sound of wind chimes and bees) The breakfasts (as well as the dinners) were very nice, the service was ok. And the most beautiful sunset in Verdon was just there.
