We've been there in march 2016 with a group of friends. Mr. Lalev, the owner, a former seaman, is a delightful host and an enciclopedic storyteller. The location itself is very clean, cozy and beautiful. Breakfast is more than a simple buttered piece of bread and the entire atmosphere is very familiar.

I stayed there during the summer and the house was truly amazing! It is completely renovated but has kept its own traditional spirit of the Bulgarian-style architecture. The rooms were clean, the owners very kind and the breakfast was the typical bulgarian "mekitsi" with any flavour you would like. It is in the heart of the Old Town in Lovech and almost every sightseeing is easily accessible. Purely Charming!

The guest house is situated in the middle of the old town of Lovech. The house is more than 220 years old and has a long history behind. The rooms are renovated to make them comfortable for nowadays people, but still keep the charm of the old days. I stayed in the smallest room with a small bathroom but still comfortable and warm. Next to the front door of the house, there is a sitting room with fire place, fantastic wooden tables made by 2 big pieces of tree and a small kitchen on guests’ disposal where you can make tea, coffee or something else. The sitting room is a paradise for people like me who adore the combination of stone and wood mixed in a house. The chat with the house owner about the local history will add a great value to your staying. This is a wonderful place, however not suitable for people with motor-disadvantages or severe motor restrains – a short but steep and narrow 220 years old staircase leads to the second floor where the bedrooms are situated. For everyone else the guest house will offer a pleasant staying and a magic jump in the old times with the famous Balkan hospitality.

Room tip: All rooms are quiet, room N 3 has a small balcony

tl;dr: An amazing place to be for anybody! The owner will make sure you'll have the best experience possible. Beds might be a little short for people over 1.85m. The place could be hard to find but the owner will wait on the main road to guide you if you call beforehand. Last bus from the station is at 6pm and make sure to know cryllic version of lovech and to pronounce 'bankomat' in case you need an ATM.

We went to this place as a small stop between Bucharest and Sofia to see the Krushuna waterfalls. We missed our last bus and had to take a taxi who couldn't find the place, luckily we had Dimitries number and he guided the taxi to the right spot and waited for us at the main road.

There was way more to do around Lovech than just the waterfalls and sadly we booked only for one night at this place. Our bus to Krushuna was very early and the owner even took us with his car to the right bus at 6am! Breakfast was plenty and made of local products.

The place is very quiet and extremely clean, a really authentic house which was very beautiful. My only remark are the beds who might be small for tall people.

When we wanted to take the bus to sofia we ran into trouble with people not speaking english and yet again the owner helped us out over phone talking to the lady at the kiosk.

Long story short, an amazing place and an amazing owner, go here for at least a few nights!
