I stayed here with a greta friend. It was perfect. Great views. Every morning I had coffee on the balcony soaking it all in......and every night I enjoyed the hammocks relaxing from the day. I would will stay here again when visiting Santa Teresa. Andy and Cota were amazing hosts. I recommend renting an ATV because The villas are located at the top of a hill and it can be a bit of hike....but it's worth it for the views.

Our stay at surf vista villas was the absolute highlight of our trip through Central America. We are a family of 4 with 2 very young kids, travelling for 6 months, and had no idea what to expect of Santa Teresa. Although most of the locals were surfing gods and goddesses we felt perfectly at home (as lazy bums). The villas have some of the most perfect views I have ever seen, Cota and Andy could not be more helpful or friendly (with tons of advice on all the best stuff to do) and the rooms are awesome. The beaches at the bottom of the drive are absolutely epic, the town is very cool and has all the restaurants and bars you could ever need.

Whether you are looking for amazing surf, or getting away from the rest of the world in your own little paradise, this is the place to go.

We will be back as soon as we can.

The hotel surpassed my imagination of the place. Gorgeous decks lined the room and the view was amazing. The rooms were spacious and delightful and waking up to the view was a big treat for our family of 4. The swimming pool was crystal clear and a nice ending to our active days. A 15 minute walk down to a very beautiful part of Santa Teresa beach and so many activities nearby: snorkeling, surfing, montezuma, banana biking , left us so relaxed and satisfied that we forgot all of our electronics in our room and zoomed off to San Jose. Our hosts Andy and Cota went above and beyond to find a way to return our things. This vacation spot goes down in history as the best in our family and we have been traveling costa rica for at least 17 years.

My daughter booked this place so I could check off my #3 bucket list item (zip-lining under a tropical forest canopy). Little did I realize she found a place to stay that would be more fabulous than experiencing flying through a lush jungle.

The international owners embody ¡Pura Vida!  Their villa's views are beyond words. Enormous sliding-glass doors punctuate walls to enjoy Costa Rican beauty within attractively-decorated, high-ceiling, fully stocked, multi-room suites. This couple are available for insider advice because their respect for their life work is apparent in them spending much of their time keeping this lovely facility as beautiful as the fresh cut flowers they provide in the rooms.

They speak English and know this area well. They helped us book a canopy ziplining tour, suggested great places to dine, alerted us to see/photograph monkeys, gave suggestions for the perfect couples massage, and even helped us when we needed to communicate with a local vendor.

There is no complementary coffee/breakfast, but their full kitchens witg necessary kitchen/cookware are perfect for making whatever one wishes to eat (they even have a blender) or you may buy meals in town.

This villa was as wonderful as Costa Rica.

What an incredible stay we had at the Surf Vista Villas! The views from each deck are fantastic and there's so much space to spread out with each room including their own bathroom, lounge area and kitchen. The shared lounge area and kitchen on the main deck was our favorite spot to gather every morning for breakfast. The pool deck and lounge area around it was perfect for afternoon swims and sunbathing. With plenty of storage for surfboards and gear, plus rental boards, it was exactly what we needed! The room on the top floor, the Birds Nest as we called it, was truly special and a great escape if you wanted to be alone. Good space on the property for parking cars or ATVs, and the owners were incredibly helpful with anything we needed- recommendations for dinner, excursions, etc. We'll definitely be back!

Room tip: Birds nest up top!
