Ever dreamed of experiencing peace, beauty, happiness, simplicity, energy, friendship, kindness all naturally coming to you at the same time in the middle of the tropics? Well, Batik is all of this at once. If you can not meet your real self there, then you are lost! I am a globe trotter, but Batik is the best place where to stop, relax and think about the beauty of life shining in front of you. The service is truly outstanding. Enjoy!

Room tip: each villa has its own personality.

My husband and 3 children under age of 12 stayed at Batik Blue. The house itself is gorgeous; spacious, open and airy common areas surrounded by lush tropical gardens with a private pool. Several incredible spots on the property to enjoy a good read, or some relaxing time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the magical sounds of nature. The bedrooms were spacious and air-conditioned and high quality, soft sheets, which for me is an absolute MUST. The kitchen is very well equipped, making meals easy. The staff is very friendly and we returned to an impeccable house each day after some morning beach time. The beach is a short walk from the property, through a small stretch of "jungle" as my children referred to it. Playa Hermosa is a long beach and felt almost like a private beach since there were very few people at any given time. Surfers are out every day and we tried a lesson one day which was fun. When the tide is low, there are sea pools within easy walking distance that the whole family enjoyed. The sunsets were breathtaking! There is horseback riding and canopy nearby of which we only did the canopy and greatly enjoyed!! We went to several wonderful local restaurants and bakery, all recommended by Cristina. Not only was the food excellent, but the owners all very charming, with interesting stories about how they had come to live in Santa Teresa. Cristina and all of the staff went out of their way to make our stay absolutely incredible. I highly recommend Batik for anyone wanting to truly disconnect from the every day, to reconnect with nature, to relax and recharge in a beautiful beach setting, to meet great and interesting people from all over the world, and to see the most breathtaking sunsets anywhere. There truly is something for everyone, if you're adventurous enough to get there!

We stayed here with 20 in 4 Villas. It was a beautiful property and was very clean and safe. Isabell was very helpful in event planning if you needed it. The area is very private. I would recommend a car.

Room tip: Casitas are fully airconditioned

We love Batik. We always feel like very welcome family members. Cristina and Isabella know everything about the area and the best activities, restaurants, places to see, what to do on a rainy day! Our entire group had a wonderful time. I hope when our children are ready to merry, that they want to have the wedding here. It is relaxing, invigorating and beautiful, all at the same time.

We just returned from a relaxing 7 night stay at Casa Macondo. It was an amazing beautiful villa for our family of 5 deep in the heart of the jungle. Everything was top notch! The home, the furniture, the daily cleaning, the security at night.

Isabella did an excellent job of booking our outings and giving us recommendations for dining. She was an added bonus to making the more trip pleasurable. :)

We loved the pool and the beach although it's good to remember the beach is definitely "more natural"- you walk through a wooded (sometimes muddy) trail to get there and there are no chairs unless you take some with you.
We loved the quaint town and restaurants with some of our favorites being El Smokey Bigote for gourmet burgers ,TP8 for wood fired pizzas and the Bakery in town for cappuccinos and pastries.

We enjoyed zip lining at Mal Pais, horseback riding on the beach, bay fishing, yoga and massages. This was an adventure filled family vacation that we will not forget! Highly recommend!
