This is Huancayo's nicest plaza with the cathedral anchoring one side and lots of benches to sit and people-watch. There are also several restaurants around the plaza. Across the street is Casa Artesana which is a collection of little shops selling inexpensive tourist items, some of which are very nice.

Small and nice plaza next to a small church . It was very interesting to see the persons around the plaza and take s.e pictures ..but this trip is less than 15minutes counting that i went to the church .

Every city in Peru has its own traditions, customs and food. All around Peru one of the most famous meals is called Pollo a la Brasa (as simple as rotisery chicken) In constitution plaza Huancayo there is a rest call La Leña. Definetly one of the best all around Peru, people judge and qualify pollo a la Brasa for the flavour on chicken for sure but also for the chips (papas) the best here.
After a meal like that you want something to help digestion, as I went out at night before going to bed the best was to have a classic drink in Huancayo. Calientito. But you have to be careful, in huancayo most emolienteros (emoliente is a classic hot drink with local herbs) they serv you calientito with a illegal alcohol. You have to be careful about this.
In the same Constitution plaza, in the corner of Real and Breña there is Jose Herrera as known as "BARBA" he will serv you his classic medicinal special hot drink, just for 3 soles. Is the best to warm up of the cold weather in Huancayo plus it helps digestion and many others health problems you may have as a cold, respiratory and digestion problems.
Guys. There is a lot to do in Huancayo. What I'm telling you is just about the plaza at night.
