Go there on Wednesday night (22h-24h) for Forro! Best place to go out.
On Saturday it gets very croweded! Go after 22h - typically the second band (around 23h) is the best!

Thank Frettli

Great spot in Fernando de Noronha. You can enjoy a nice meal looking over the ocean, sunset and with a nice soundtrack. The musician plays sax and you can ask for your favorite song to be played. Food is tasty and the price is fair, taking in consideration that everything comes from the mainland.

Below the settlement of Vila dos Remedios and above the Praia do Cachorro, the 'beach of the dog' because of a rock of that shape, is the 'Bar do Cachorro', which also functions as a restaurant. It is a beautiful place with outdoor seating and a great view towards the coast. There is place for dancing, but that is usually the case only in later hours.

When there for dinner twice it had live music, first a saxophon player, later on a guitarist and singer. There is a 'couvert' in the menu bill of 10 BRL for the music. For dinner I selected from the 'Petiscos' a portion of 'Isca de peixe' (fishbait). It was 'crocante' as it said, but an enormous amount, wich I couldn't finish. It came with 3 'molhos' in separate little bowls: tartaro, oriental and geleia de pimenta. The next evening I asked for 'Camarãos alho e óleo'.

As dessert I tried a Pernambuco speciality called 'Cartola', which is grilled sugary bananas topped by a melted 'queijo coalho' (rennet cheese). The next time I went for the 'Petit Gateau', a small chocolate cake. Both desserts were accompanied by vanilla ice cream.

Many people come here for drinks only and then go to other restaurants, as I could see, when walking back to my accomodation. I stayed here mainly because I enjoyed the location of the place, close to the water.

The location is very nice so if you just want to have a cold drink while enjoying the sunset then it's OK.

However, don't eat here. I had an expensive filet mignon and wanted it "medium". 25 minutes later I was given a piece of meat that was grilled for hours. Tough as leather!
My partner had pasta and also these were really bad.

Change the cook guys!

Very simple place, friendly staff, with live music, good to have a beer and snacks watching the sunset.
