The restaurant is not a gourmet one, and then if they are open cause we found out that 9:30 pm it closes... Service is poor, food is just OK, try something in town or other Hotel.

Chef has experience on gourmet food. It is a must to visit this restaurant and taste different meals.

An upmarket restaurant in a beautiful location overlooking the sea (although the sandy road is between the hotel and the sea- but the road isn't exactly very busy!) Service is very friendly and professional. The food is delectable from the home-made rosemary bread to the dishes themselves. We had seafood soup and octopus carpaccio to start - both beautifully presented, especially the carpaccio, followed by the catch of the day, grouper, and shrimp with plantain. We just had room to share a dessert- guayaba cheesecake which was nice (but would have been even better served with a light sauce or a little ice cream on the side). The wine they serve is all Mexican, although they were out of the Chenin Blanc (which happened to be the least expensive white wine at $530 pesos - not the first restaurant in which this has happened!- so we were offered the Chenin Blanc/Chardonnay to try which we liked and it was served beautifully chilled.

Extremely disappointed with this place. I am a really lucky lady and have been fortunate to be able to travel a great deal and experience a lot all over Mexico and other parts of the world.

Made a reservation for dinner for 7 girls as we were celebrating two birthdays- we arrived thirty minutes earlier and we toured the hotel to see rooms that we were considering booking in September. They were OK 2/5stars. By the time we finished the tour it was the time of our reservation -- they sat us 30 minutes late.

As for dinner the menu claims to sell wine by the bottle and the glass. They went from having no bottles of wine for sale... Then one bottle ... And then they magically appeared with two for sale.

They seemed to have a decent menu. We all ordered separate entrees that all came out at different times. I ordered lobster linguine which came out cold. I imagine they took it back microwaved my linguine, but I guess they forgot the lobster because when the dish came back out it that was cold. It tasted terrible too lobster was not fresh.

Talked to management they didn't offer any compensation or seem to care. I recommend visiting this place if you like poor customer service and paying a fortune for terrible food and accommodation. Check out casa tortugas or villa flamingos.

A great place for a classy romantic dinner. Grab a table on the terrace overlooking the beach. Order octopus carpaccio, fish with a citrus sauce, duck, or anything else. Best margaritas we had on the island, especially if you make them with mezcal. It's one of the fancier places on the island, but great value compared to back home, considering the setting. Weren't many other tables when we went.
