We had dinner here on our recent trip to PEI and the mussels and lobster roll were awesome! Service was great, but the view was the best part of all!Spectacular!

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on the last day of the season for this year and were not disappointed! He claims it's the best fish n chips he's had on the Island in the last 4 years, and I was too distracted by the amazing view to really think too much about the food. Within the first 5 minutes of arriving we had a bald eagle and a pair of herons fly right overhead! It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the time to get there!

Enjoyed a variety of seafood and everything was delicious. What a great view from the outdoor patio. Staff friendly and courteous, service quick. Had the muscles and oysters. Doesn't get any fresher. Delicious.

We went to Sou'West for lunch, had a table on their patio, saw the fishing boats come in, they actually dock just beside the restaurant and all the fish and sea food comes off them, the freshest ever. The patio has a gorgeous view of the bay and forest around, lots of birds including bald Eagles flying over. The patio is very relaxing and so pleasant. We had the fresh from the sea haddock, remember the fisher man just brought it in with those fingerling PEI Potatoes and fresh vegetables all of it come from the Farms around the area. For a restaurant with a simple decor it has a lot of quality. Our waiter was very nice and we also met the owner. A great place for lunch, highly recommend it. Please note this is a seasonal restaurant like lots of places around French River and Cavendish and they close on 16 Sept. for the Season re-opening in May 2018.

We came upon Sou'West as we were on our way to Summerside, PEI, just by chance. It is right on an inlet of the ocean, and a perfect spot for a casual meal. I had the biggest, freshest oysters on the half shell, from Malpeque. If you are a shellfish fan, this is your place. My husband, who is not a fan of shellfish, had delicious nachos, so both of us were happy!
