“Nice setting”

Nice setting, away from the road, so quiet.
These are clearly aging units, cleaned as best they could be.
Kitchen was stocked good, a few things missing, reported when Nicole came by to check on us.
For the setting and cost, this was a pleasant place to stay, having a Bbq was great.

My only caution would be the musty smell, should one have allergies, as the units have taken on dampness issues, swelled flooring. I have a few family members who could never stay there because of this, so we thought it was important to mention.
For young families, this would be a great place for kids to burn off energy after traveling.

“Great Spot at a Great Price!”

Our family stayed 3 nights in the adjoining cottage #11. The cottage was simple, comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed and more. If it didn't have it the owner Chad made sure it was on your doorstep in no time. There was lovely laundry facilities with free laundry soap and any little extras the cottages might need. They also came to our cottage with sweet welcome gift. The view from the cottage was beautiful. There were new stairs down the red sand cliff to the beach. The beach was a daily adventure with little ocean creatures and great for walking (I recommend water shoes). The cottages felt very private because of their location and were very peaceful but with lots of green area for the kids to run around. The cottage came with wood so we could also roast marshmallows around the fire at our fire pit. There's an all sand beach close by with life guards and good bathrooms. Shopping in Summerside is only 15-20 minutes away. The only negative thing I can say is there wasn't much to be found on the TV but we weren't there to watch TV. Would stay here again for sure!

“Cozy with a fab view”
Reviewed 18 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was cozy and quaint and had everything needed for our stay. The property is well maintained and we appreciated that pets were welcome. The owners are attentive and respond immediately to any issues (in our case TV was out after a storm) and are genuinely interested in ensuring you have a great experience. The laundry room was an added bonus and the view added greatly to our relaxation. We did find the step a little high at the front door, but that is something easily fixed. Thank you to Chad and Nikki for making our 3 days on PEI a wonderful experience

“Good cottages, great hosts”
Reviewed 4 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

These are good basic cottages that are well looked after by the attentive owners: Chad and Nicki Howatt. The cottages are found at the end of a 2km red dirt road that passes by farmer's fields of potatoes or clover. The cottages have plenty of space for young kids and those young at heart to run around, a couple of play structures, horse shoe pits and other games. The cottages are close enough that you meet all your neighbours but far enough apart to have a bit of privacy. The beach is steps away and a recently renovated staircase helps you navigate the red sandstone cliffs to beach that is cosy at high tide and expansive at low tide. Excellent spot to watch the sunset or just gaze out at the Northumberland Straight. The cottages are a short drive from the Confederation Bridge, Summerside and the Chelton Beach Provincial Park.

“Comfy accommodations in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 25 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

I stayed in a three-bedroom cottage for labour day weekend with my sister and brother-in law. We drove over from Halifax mainly to enjoy the warm-water beaches, and we were not disappointed. Our cottage was pretty basic, but was clean and had all the necessary amenities (fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, towels, linens, etc). What made it really special is that it was situated just meters away from a beautiful red-sand beach that was lovely for swimming. The water was warm and shallow, so it would be a great place to take kids, too. This is more of a quiet, rural location, but supermarkets etc are only about fifteen minutes away. I would recommend shoreline cottages to someone who is looking to relax, spend time outside, and enjoy the beach. The owner is really nice and accommodated an early check-in for us. I would definitely stay here again.
