We came for dinner as a family of 9 (including 3 kids). On the outside, it seems like a small restaurant in downtown area of Summerland, but it was quite spacious inside. There was a play area for kids, which thoroughly entertained our bunch until the food was ready. The maki rolls must have been delicious, because our kids wolved them down before I even laid eyes on them. There were enough options for everyone at the table.

Many choices of freshly prepared authentic japanese cuisine. They even offer japanese food items on the shelves and cooler to take home and prepare yourself.

I don't know how this place gets such high ratings. Maybe a bunch of people are super impressed with their first time eating sushi?! The sushi wasn't particularly fresh. Rolls aren't wrapped in seaweed but some edible sushi paper. Lots of rice very little fish in the rolls. They attempt to compensate with avocado. The sashimi portions are super tiny. They didn't serve anything with ginger we had to ask. Service was super slow. Price was super high for the offerings. The only upside was that they have a small toy filled play area that kept my toddler busy before dinner.

Went with others who had been before and who had been very impressed with the quality .the sashimi and sushi was very fresh , tasty and nicely presented. Tofu dishes also good. Only comment is that the chicken teriyaki was different from other places.. large slices of chicken with little vegetables.
But rest was of very good standard.
Kid friendly. Very attentive and friendly service.
Living in West Kelowna we will definitely be back for our next Japanese food fix.

This sushi place "is" the only place in town...so it holds the monopoly on the situation...no competition means u can basically do what u want and patrons take it or leave it. But to be more specific i would like to say the food is tasty...it is just way too expensive for the portions u receive. Go to Westbank..Kelowna...Penticton and u will find larger portions for the same price if not a bit more reasonable. Loving sushi i am almost forced to keep coming back to the only place in town. And don't get me wrong, I am a big supporter of local businesses, but when I order the same meal in S'land that i would eat out of town, I leave the establishment not full, I see the rolls so much smaller than out of town places. I wish another place would open up to cut these folks down to size and not take advantage of being the only place in town so u can soak it to the customers.
