This restaurant is attached to a resort so it’s very convenient for dinner. The food was good, but not amazing.
I hear the patio is nice with the view, but it was later in the evening and it was too cold.
The server was very attentive and nice.

Great menu selection. Studied the menu onlne before our visit and already had a list of items that we wanted to try even before we walked through the door. Tough to choose what to have so naturally we had too much. The Arancini was a stand-out. Homemade Chips and Artichoke Dip was great. The Nashville Hot Chicken Burger was Amazing, I could have eaten a dozen. Still dreaming of that Hot Chicken as I type this review. We finished it all off with 2 types of ribs, BBQ and the Dry Riblettes. There were only two of us and we rolled out of there. Great Service. Great Space. Can't wait to visit the Okanagan again return to Local on Lakeshore.

Went in the afternoon, caught happy hour by fluke. HH specials were fair and unique. 9 oz of wine for the price of 6 oz. Cool idea. Food options were varied which was great. 3 cheese burger was my choice. Great bun, great beef, and the cheeses stood strong on the burger. Made me happy. Friends had the mussels and the Thai Curry. Both strong dishes. Service was good.

We arrived at the restaurant just before 530 on Tuesday. At the door a scowl faced hostess (?) asked us if we had a reservation, no welcome at all. Then another unhappy hostess (?) came to seat us with the same question and walked us outside without asking us our preference, but we wanted outside so that was fine. She took us to a table, and I asked if we could sit in a different one. Nope, those are reserved... there were only 2 other tables occupied.

It was almost ten minutes for water to show up. (Trendy mason jars. We had to pour for ourselves). Another 10 to get a drink order and to have a chance to ask about the menu. We ordered drinks and food immediately as we wanted to order off the happy hour menu. The food & drinks came right at 6. No chance of second glass on happy hour; usually servers are hustling drinks at this point. (Why bother having a happy hour unless you want to sell extra drinks?!?)

Food was tasty (house made chips & warm artichoke dip, ribs, pasta) but there no salt or pepper on the table and both the ribs and pasta needed some salt. Another drink would have been welcome but we never had a chance to order as the server disappeared. When she finally came back, we were done the food & asked for a dessert menu. That didn’t come back for around 20 minutes. At that point I asked for the bill, and she started making excuses about why a dessert menu took so long. I cut her off. I wasn’t interested in excuses. Just in getting some service!

Meanwhile we watched a only a few tables being seated around us. Several other servers, no one helping the others’ tables though. Never seen such a lack in teamwork or friendliness. No eye contact, no cheerful banter, just weird sullen, cranky staff. A couple was seated in one of the 2 “reserved” tables. We watched them sit and wait for water and menus. That took at least 10 minutes. No one came to get their order, and after a VERY LONG wait they got up and left. The other “reserved” table was never filled.

So apparently there was a mix up on a another bill so a couple of the servers must have been sorting that out. Understandable. But then get other staff to their cover tables, apologize and smile, people!!!

They seem to be trying to be high end, with their slow casual (lack of) service. Come on guys. Just serve the clients, get them drinks, tell them what the food is like, act like we are all special, and that you are happy to have some customers. You aren’t that great. Really! Seriously!

The food was worth going back for. The service was awful. We won’t go back unless we see a turn around on the reviews. We’ve sat on our rental condo balcony beside the restaurant twice now. Watching the lack of service. So very strange.
