Stayed here as our third hotel on a family holiday, was impressed with the friendly service, would like to give 9 out of 10 but sadly 4.5 out of 5 isn't available.

Lots to like here, the bikes in particular were a nice touch, especially as the hotel is a little out of town and the beach is a bit of a walk.

This is not a cheap hotel, so that drives a certain level of expectation but overall clean, stylish and well run so I'd recommend it.

I visited this fab new hotel with my large family group. The rooms are great - fresh, with lovely personal touches and good coffee machines, bathrooms etc. The whole hotel has a lovely vibe of simple elegance and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Gorgeous cosy salon with games and books. Parking right outside. Luxurious spa underneath with a fun four-seasons shower and massages, sauna, etc. We really enjoyed the restaurant, especially the wine selection and the amazing Spanish hams.

newly opened boutique hotel, minutes away from the tapas bars and the business of the old town of Fuenterrabia. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable with amenities only found in asian- quality hospitality. Staff very professional and kind, able to find last minute golf tee time to jet ski adventure. We loved it. Also, diner available al fresco with well balanced and tasty menu - can't eat tapas every night !! - yesterday we tried the squid cooked in its ink and the watermelon and ginger soup - with a surprising light and chilled spanish wine from the Canaries islands, all for €40/person...all this made a perfect summer stay in this lovely fisherman village. Will come back !

Room Tip: room 8 (penas de Aya) fits 4 in 2 bedrooms, enjoys great view of the cathedral, and a private terrace !

We came here for six days' holiday for our first visit, after finding it online and paying £2,200 for the duration.

That seemed expensive, especially as we could have stayed in a traditional five-star in Saint Sebastian for less. However, I was very glad we stayed here.

It's a new hotel and has been expensively refurbished, straight out of the pages of a style magazine, but it works. The decor is on the right side of brash and the ambience is relaxing.

The service is out of this world, there is nothing they won't do for their guests and the hotel bicycles are the best vehicle to ride-stroll around Hondarribia.

The rooms are tasteful and spacious and the spa, while still finding its feet, is awesome, not least the very interesting tropical shower and excellent massages.

Expensive undoubtedly, especially in light of the local competition, but worth it. We travelled with a 14-year-old and even HE was impressed.

Room Tip: Try your luck with an ungrade. This is a new hotel, so there are opportunities to move up to a suite for no extra charge.
