The restaurant is situated in the beginning of wonderful walking trail. So after 7 km of walking tour we returned to the restaurant and decided to get beer on the sun terrace. The staff was very friendly and we interested in bar menu that had a lot inexpensive dishes. We got shells Amêijoas a chefe. The dish was fresh cooked with curcumin and was very tasty. We saw a lot of locals that came to have a lunch there. The restaurant location is very peaceful. There is a small spa opposite with bath with hot spring water. The entrance fee is only 3 Euro.

Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and the owner of the restaurant was very nice and fun, he explained the tradition of the different foods.

The waiter was very accommodating. Food was good and the restaurant had a great vibs. We had lunch after we relaxed in a hot spring bath that was across the street.

A wonderful restaurant in the tiny little village of Caldeiras near Ribeira Grande. The traditional dish Cozido is cooked in the nearby hot spots/fumaroles (Caldeiras). The restaurant has a long tradition but was renovated some years ago. The young owner is the son of the the owner of "Salsicheria ideal" so all the poducts are very good.

We had an absolutely wonderful evening and very much enjoyed the delicious food! The Cozido was very good and the vegetarian lasagna was also very delicious. Even though we were already very full we decided to try some desserts and the green tea pudding with homemade biscuits was everything as delicious as promised! Totally recommended and would love to come back!
