If you are looking for stunning architecture, exciting culture, fascinating village life, interesting rooms, large lavatories, pleasant-smelling lifts, and hangers that don't look like phalloi, then this is definitely not the hotel for you.

However, if you are looking for a pretty view, a nice beach, with okayish food and a waiter, and you don't care about decent facilities, safety, mental health, and nose-exterminating smells, then perhaps this is the hotel for you. There is no wifi and 3G so if you want to live like a hermit in the forest of 1754 Nebraska with alopecia from the neck down and a foot fungus problem as well as an addiction to eggplants and breadsticks then you should come here.

Anyway the hangers had an inappropriate shape which reminded me of my granddad's vasectomy, so 17/18 with one mark deducted since the owner clearly thought we were living in an alternative hypothetical parallel life where what is is not as it is and sorry my dog is reciting Shakespeare again. The decor reminded of rocket ship and if all else fails remember to use the tried and tested system by asking yourself the question, 'Does it look like lamp?' The answer is yes.

Gentile cliente,
la ringrazio per essere stato nostro ospite, anche se mi ha spiazzato con la sua recensione che sa di barzelletta colorita priva di contenuti ed indecifrabile. ma si sà English humor.

Beautiful seaside spot, with the sound of waves at night. Friendly staff, everything clean and functional, somewhat dated decor but nice enough. We did miss an extra blanket at night, breakfast was too industrial for our taste and the butter was stale. Clearly much improved since some of the other comments.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Garzia in early October 2013. We had a very positive experience -- the first thing that impressed us was the friendliness of the staff and how the hotel seems very comfortable and "homey." It's true that the rooms aren't luxury in their furnishings, but everything was clean and we felt very much welcomed and comfortable there. We had a wonderful sea-view room at the front of the hotel and were able to park our car on the street right in front of the hotel. The temples were a short car ride up the hill. One of the staff walked into the lobby carrying a bucket of freshly-caught fish for dinner that night at the restaurant next door. And breakfast was abundant and delightful -- they opened the windows for us so we could enjoy the morning sea air and plan our day. This was truly one of our favorite hotels in Sicily.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in (I believe it was #215) was at the front of the hotel with a wonderful sea view and a nice covered terrace on the side.

The hotel is a little dated, and it seemed to by frequented mostly by Italian tourists. I think we were the only non Italian speaking guests. I generally like this, because it makes experiences more authentic, but nevertheless the hotel was nothing special at all. We got a room with a window to the back, facing a yellow wall, and nothing else. So, the room can actually be used for sleeping only, otherwise it is grim. If you can get a room facing the sea, the experience is probably much better.
Breakfast was quite inedible, but this is the case for many Italian hotels, so it's what you would expect… Service was friendly, but not exceptional.
The location is great, just steps from the sea with a nice beach, where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds. Many restaurants are within walking distance, and the area is very lively at night.
