You must visit this place if you are in the area - ie anywhere in the south of Italy!

The staff are exceptionally professional and friendly and most of them speak excellent English - those which don't are still very friendly and if you engage with them they will try.

Nothing is too much trouble and they went out of their way to accommodate. We liked the place so much that we stayed another 2 nights but had to move rooms and they moved our luggage for us.

The location is perfect. It is few hundred meters from the castle in the old town, and nearer for the new town shops. Between the new town and the castle is a large harbour where you can watch the working fishermen mending their nets or bringing in their catch. It was fascinating.

We had exhausted the sights in 2 days but really enjoyed relaxing on the terrace and the stunning view.

The breakfast is excellent. They even do hot omelette and eggs and bacon!

The rooms are extremely comfortable and they offer a turn down service in the evening - really decadent!

What more can you ask for?

This wonderful Hotel was superb in every aspect other than pretty poor WiFi which was intermittent at best.

But do not let this stop you visiting and staying in a super hotel just 200 meters from a physically beautiful old town. Unfortunately the tourist industry has ruined both the atmosphere, the offering and the place. How you can you have such bad food when the fish is landed there is a testament to the people who go there and accept it - even in one restaurant very popular on here!

Not the hotel though - from Leuca who insisted on helping to us our room, then parking the car and bringing up our bags to the cleaners, reception staff, breakfast ladies and bar guys, they are fantastic and make your stay so much better for it.

The highlight has to be the top floor with comfortable sitting to use the splash pool or to have a drink to the restaurant with magnificent views even better with an after dinner drink!

We will only come back to Gallipoli if we can stay at this hotel and we would not leave the hotel until time to depart the town with maybe an odd walk up and down the main shopping street....!!

If you can afford it, there is no other place you should stay in Gallipoli
- Service is exceptional and above all with authentic friendliness
- Clean well equipped rooms with comfortable beds
- Free guaranteed parking which in high season is a MUST in Gallipoli (if hotel spaces are full, just park your car and drop the key at the reception and they take care of it)
- Location is perfect - could not be better
- Stayed in August for a approx a week and returned in September for a week

Room tip: Stayed in several rooms and all of them excellent - every room has a balcony

We stayed here 4 nights. Lovely hotel, and a good large room. Free parking at the back -
useful in Gallipoli. Friendly staff, with advice and info on routes and places to visit. Why not get a few beach towels for guests to borrow though?! We enjoyed dinner very much here also. I don't think there's a better hotel in the town.

This seems to have been an old 4-star hotel that has been renovated and extended with the aim of becoming a 5-star hotel. We were in one of the new rooms which was modern and quite stylish, but had no elevator access. The service was good and breakfast is served on the top-floor terrace with lovely views.
I would certainly recommend the hotel, but I am not sure if it truly meets the criteria for a genuine 5-star hotel. I have seen past comments about the lack of free bottled water and hair conditioner and it is still the case that neither of these is provided.

Room tip: Note that not all rooms have elevator access.
