We stayed here 2 nights, on a holiday weekend during which Gallipoli was packed with visitors. It was good to be just over the bridge leading to the centro storico, out of the fray.
Our nicely appointed two floor suite faced the water (note that bedroom is on the upper level and has no elevator access). The arched ceiling of the original XIX cent. space was so high that it allows for the multilevel arrangement; its charmingly painted ceiling was great to wake up to. The suite included two full baths, so we suppose a family could be accommodated.
Breakfast up on the top floor with views of the harbor was perfect. We enjoyed a glass of wine one evening up there as well. Staff was personable. The room was made up immediately and there was turndown service. The entrance lobby is tastefully designed. The property delivers on its five star classification.
Why only a four point rating by us? We discovered at checkout that we were charged 16 euros to bring a bucket of ice to the room! An unfortunate sour note that affected our final impression.
