We arrived at the hotel late on a dark rainy night after a hectic drive from Naples airport - we were greeted with smiles from Maria and a quick check in showed us to a room which we soon realised had everything we required for our stay. This small (8 room hotel) welcomed us on first name terms and soon proved nothing was too much trouble for them. Each and every one of the staff welcomed us, asked us where we had been and were genuinely interested in our day. These truly lovely people made our stay, our holiday special beyond belief showing that there are genuinely lovely people left in the world.
The hotel was a perfect base for our exploration of the Amalfi coastline which delivered at every turn.
Our room was perfectly cleaned daily and breakfast provided a good start to each day.
Small and friendly does not describe this hotel - family does
The warm caring people we encountered here ( Isabel. Maria, Angela and Mario) treated us with such kindness - no review is good enough - thank you so much
Angela - you remembered our coffee every morning with a smile
Marie - always tired
Isobel - always a smile and hello
Mario - a lovely man with a kind heart

Very nice inexpensive hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are very simple, but clean and comfortable. The are is nice, not very quite so. Very good breakfast. Many nice and also inexpensive restaurants around.

Although I was leading a group of 40 people, split between Hotel Soleluna and the more luxurious La Ripetta (owned by the same people), I found Hotel Soleluna to be marvelous. Most important was the staff - not only were they friendly and helpful, but often made me feel like they really enjoyed seeing me. We'd exchange broken English and Italian conversations, and it seemed heartfelt. They enjoyed having us there. The hotel itself is located in Piano di Sorrento, walking distance from Sorrento (though easier to take the Circumvesuviana train). The hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the station. We used it as a base to visit Naples, Pompeii, Capri and the Amalfi coast. The location was stunningly gorgeous, with a beach near by and good restaurants. The rooms were basic - clean, a good bed, desk, shower/WC. Very comfortable, not extravagant - but when you go to this part of Italy it's not to stay in your hotel room! Wifi was fast and dependable. I look forward to visiting Hotel Soleluna again.

We had a great stay at Hotel Soleluna. It was a good price and we took advantage of eating at Mama Camillas every night. The rooms are ok at the hotel, but they have everything you need and are clean. There were not very many people hanging around to ask a lot of questions, but everyone in the town was nice and if you went to the restaurant next door, there was someone usually there to help you. Breakfasts were very good and a great buffet. We enjoyed trying all the different dishes and really experiencing the slow-paced feel of Piano di Sorrento. Will definitely go back and maybe next time for some cooking classes!

Had an unpleasant stay at this hotel, which I would not rate 3 stars.
The staff was welcoming but the room was noisy, with very little amenities. The Internet did not work all the time and was not at reach in the terrace or restaurant.
It was also a fair bit to walk to the centre of Piano di Sorrento (to catch the bus to Sorrento), a little closer to the train station.
Considering it is also a cooking school, I was hoping the food would be better than it actually was.
