Club Med is a package deal. So they cover everything - food, kids, ski lessons, equipment, flights, transfers and they do it really well.

If you are looking for a personalised holiday experience, this is not the right place to be. If you are looking for a complete package where you pay once and don't have to pay a single cent once you start your holiday, one that ticks all the major boxes, then Club Med do a brilliant job.

The ski equipment we got was really good. Everything looked very new.

The town is spectacular. Huge variety of skiing from beautiful beginner slopes to lovely reds and blacks.

Room Tip: Valley view rooms do have spectacular views across to La Plagne

Excellent as long as you are fully aware of what it is. I took my children, aged 17 and 19, and we didn't really need many of the facilities on offer (afternoon teas, shows, activites etc.). Fantastic for younger children.

Dear Richard W,

We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us, and your children as well. We regret that you did not need all the facilities, but are sure this did not spoil your vacations at all. We hope to see you soon again, in one of our resorts.

Have a lovely day,

Yours sincerely,

It's my belief that all-inclusive plus family-friendly establishments doom the parents to life-in-daycare sentence for the duration of the so-called, over-priced vacation, which really, for the exhausted, junk-food fed, sleep-deprived parent, is something once experienced, always dreaded. The little (actually not so little) voices of the sugar-crazed toddlers running around day and large portions of the night with their parents following them around with hollow eyes is my nightmare. I really dreaded Club Med Peisey-Vallandry. But felt like I had no choice if I wanted to get some skiing done and not spend my days at a fancy resort finding activities for my four and six year old kids.
But I was delightfully surprised by both staff and facilities of this property and discovered my fears quite quickly evaporated into the thin mountain air.
The Kids Club, my biggest concern and the most important part of any vacation with kiddies, turned out to be a success. The place, run by the lovely and kid-loving Leo, has an outstanding kid-G.O (teacher) ratio. Under Leo's guidance these staffers manage to ease the fears and screams of all little creatures around and their parents. Leo even managed to convince my kids to go skiing on a daily basis. Moreover, him and his staff offers the kids activities and care from around 8am to 9pm (at least that's the way it was during Christmas week which was the time we were there).
The parents were well taken care of in the other departments as well: the food, drink and ski. Major improvement: no more pre-open, re-filled wine bottles in fridges around the dining hall, but a waiter that comes to your table and opens the bottle for you. like actually un-corks it! There was a nice selection of fancier wines for extra cost as well and nice cocktails available at the bar. So you could actually feel like a person and not an around the clock-nanny for the kids. That being said, another element I dreaded was the fact that Landry the town close by, and the village right next to the Club Med had virtually nothing to offer in comparison to places like Val Thorens or Courchevel. There was no apre ski at all. No bars, hardly any shops, you know no fun, festive stuff that I love about ski. But, the Club Med staff does do their best to create a fun setting that is not all about the kids, which is not a simple task. Another upside: the ski was absolutely magnificent. Again, it lacked the cool mountain side bars that you see all over the place in other resorts such as three vales, but the views were spectecular and the slopes never ending (La Plagne is right next door). Bottom line: good times with (and despite) my beloved kiddies.

The food here is amazing, live cooking stations galore and top notch quality. On New Years Eve there was a whole Tuna laid out for Sashmi, very impressive. Lobster, scallops, steak, langoustines etc. etc. every night was a veritable feast. The staff were very friendly and the pool stunning, if a little on the brisk side. Only downside for us were the lack of beginners slopes for our youngest, to get to easy blues you have to go on the lift and he wasn't up to that standard, not the hotels fault though.
