We stayed for one night in a studio apartment on the ground floor. We paid 135 NZD for stay. Our room was clean, and the host was on arrival welcoming and helpful.
Still we found the stay to be a bit disappointing. Our room seemed very worn out, and was in need of a makeover (except the bathroom). The bed was unpleasantly soft, and the TV was small and almost couldn't display colors anymore.
The motel advertises having a pool and a spa. The so called "pool" is of the kind you'll have on your lawn. The spa cost extra, and had smelly water.
Compared with the many other motels we stayed in on our NZ-road trip, it’s just not worth the money. It's not a poor motel, but definitely below average.
