The place is a private island. Run in a most professional manner with an authentic Fijian touch, it is a place for rich to unwind...blue green water lagoon on this Yanuca Island is so mesmerising and captivating that you will ha e to appreciate the Mother Nature and the planning of the resort..,go for this without a second thought of you have 15000 Rs per night(minimum for any Indian hotel night of 5 star rating) budget....

We went to this hotel to attend a wedding expo which was the first to be held in this location. The entrance to the hotel was a good one but one thing that I really don't like is that they tend to have lots of plants along side the road and the reception area was way right inside, the check in area is not really an interesting one as it like checking for a flight by a budget airline ( Easyjet or Tigerair) it not very inviting which to my understanding the area suppose to be inviting to everybody. Anyways, when we arrive their were two guides waiting for us and we took another 5-10 mins walk I think towards the venue of the expo, so we reached the venue but being told again by one Manger to go to one of the restaurant where we are going to have a light breakfast. The least they could do is inform us from the checking in area to go straight to that restaurant and by this I then understand the this resort tend to lack 'COMMUNICATION' which is one of the fundamental element in running any kind of business. The breakfast was fast as their were around 150-200 of us in total they only refill some pastries but to all, it was tasty which is good. But during lunch time I tend to be pissed off but some stuff they did, the part about lunch I didn't like is that the guys who are filling in the empty tray they didn't even told us to make room for them I some of us nearly fell on to them and also they clear the table so quickly without asking us if we have finished or not.

Came here for my 30th birthday! I would love to rate this as a 5 but I have to hold back a little as our room leaked so they changed our room within a few hours, a planned BBQ by the hotel was very disappointing, also the hotel meals and drinks are very expensive. However, that being said I would definitely stay here again, it's close to the "real" Fiji and the staff are more than willing to help. A beautiful spot with beautiful people

If you are travelling to Fiji, make sure you get off of the main Island of Nadi. Book a hotel on Castaway island, or any other small island that is the true beauty of Fiji. This hotel is very nice but for the price you are paying you can rent a stunning vila on an smaller island.

Thus if you are going to Fiji I recommend staying on the central island for like 3 days and spend the rest of the vacation on the more remote smaller islands that actually look and fell like fiji.

Why 3 days on big island?
1. Go see some beautiful waterfalls...
2. Go see the orchid forest.
3. If you crazy enough like me, there is a bull shark feeding dive done by Beqa that is world renown.

The hotel grounds is very nice but not "fiji" amazing nor the price your paying.
1. DO NOT EAT FOOD AT HOTEL... not worth a cent
- you can walk to the village near by, everyone is super friendly and its very safe. You can by fresh fruit from them
- there is a great seafood restaurant located right there close to a convenience store. its affordable and its amazing. crag legs, lobster, shrimp etc.

2. When you go swimming at the beach & in fiji there are super venomous snakes that swim, they are black and white very pretty. Not to worry. VERY VERY RARE THAT THEY BITE (almost no cases) so dont worry. but still it is known at the hotel and just to give you a heads up with the little kids swimming in the water. be careful.

3. Staff are amazing and super nice. Boola Boola means hello, greet them and tip them they make virtually nothing.

Hotel Rooms: They're OK not what you expect for going to Fiji at the Shangri-La
Need to be updated.

4. DO NOT DRINK TAP WATER.

Dear oritwena,
Bula and thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We do appreciate all feedback we receive and we are pleased to learn you were able to get out and see a bit more of our community than you otherwise would have, on a island not so close to the mainland. Thank you once again for coming to Fiji and for choosing to stay with us down the Coral Coast.

The resort is pretty good, but very dated. The pool needs a renovation, and the rooms are basic. The bigger problem was the food. It was soooo bad, and overpriced. There was a pathetic choice of fruit offered at the breakfast buffet, and very poor quality. Dinners at the restaurant was below average. I wouldn't go back to this resort.
On a positive note, the staff was lovely.
