We visited Paraiso for a family wedding, and I was so sincerely impressed with the service and thoughtful care that the staff put into the weekend. The rooms were cute and cozy - AC did go out in the middle of the night but that's part of the adventure on BCI. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the location doesn't really get any better. The staff was extremely helpful when it came to planning activities (boat rides, scooter rentals, ordering taxis, etc.) Jielka especially was truly one of the most wonderful people on the island - thank you Paraiso for everything!

Very comfortable beds, hot shower, A/C. Grab a free beach towel and walk to the beach or take a nap in one of the many hammocks. Rent a bike or scooter or go on one of There day trips. Mike one of the owners May come along with you.

I try to be as polite and fair as possible when writing reviews but I’m at a loss for words with this one.

First off, I understand that we traveled during low season for tourists. And I get that the resort would prefer we stay and spend our money strictly at their resort since that’s where we were staying but to purposely refuse local insite was rude.

We did not feel welcome right from the beginning. The staff were cold and unhelpful. The wifi did not work. There were many items on the menu which were not available, which we understand and it’s not a huge deal but the woman was rude about it. We like to spend time where we’re staying as well as tour around so we asked for a recommendation for a restaurant to eat dinner at. The woman sitting at the front desk looked at us, thought about an answer then flat out said “NO”.

The resort has only a small beach front which isn’t ideal for swimming or relaxing. The staff didn’t tell us about any other places to enjoy the ocean. Arenas Beach Resort is just a short cab ride or walk where you can enjoy the ocean, beach bar and beautiful beach. We’re happy that we ventured around and found a resort with people who made us feel welcome.

I would definitely go back to the Corn Island but will be staying elsewhere.
