The food was delicious, the service great, and the atmosphere unique. It's worth a visit if only to see the beautiful dining room!

The 10 course dinner we had Friday evening was exceptional. We were concerned when we made the reservation because we eat no meat. We were assured that would be no problem and it wasn’t. The chefs not only met our dietary restrictions, they blew our socks off. It was delicious! And the wait staff was equally impressive.

The next afternoon we also enjoyed afternoon tea. The wait staff was the same and they still knew our names. The finger sandwiches, pastries and scones were delicious. The was a wide selection of teas to choose from. We enjoyed our weekend immensely.

My family has been celebrating Thanksgiving buffet and Dickens' Brunch here for years. Yummm!
At lunch I would highly recommend the French Onion Soup. Service is also friendly and attentive.

We dined at Orchids while staying at the hotel for a birthday getaway. They made it a memorable experience while serving wonderful courses. They called me the day before to see if it was a special event, got my wife's name and a list of dietary issues for both of us ahead of time. There was a card for my wife on the table with her name on it when we were seated. There were three complimentary intermezzos as well as the three that we ordered. Everything was very imaginative and beautifully presented. It was also delicious. The staff was right there all the time, including a timed removal of canopies over each entree to occur at the same moment. Bread was refilled without question and we were given a final treat to take back to the room. The experience took over two hours but that was a great aspect of it. This is a great aspect of the vintage and historic Netherland Hilton Hotel.
