Nice hotel, but some things kept it from being great. We arrived to find the AC in our room off. It was 84 in there. All the common areas of the hotel are not AC'ed either. So the first night was not pleasant. The Infinity pool is 16+, me and my 17 and 13 year olds wanted a quiet place to hang, but we were turned away and had to go back to the big pool. I understand the idea of an adult pool, but maybe make some exceptions, we clearly weren't looking to get rowdy. We signed up for the paddle board lesson. It was weird. Seemed like something that everyone who rents a paddle board would get. Took like 5 minutes for the guy to just explain what to do. The flower bracelet making was fun! The Hawaiian Latte at the coffee shop is great! This is a very busy hotel and area of Waikiki. Great beach access, but the beach is very busy. If you have to stay here, please find time to explore other areas of Oahu, or you are truly missing out.

The rooms are fantastic. The breakfast offering feels as exciting or as Hawaiian as Denny’s in Cincinnati—it’s boring. If you have a long stay you will need to find a better option.

My biggest complaint is the unknowledgeable and ungracious concierge desks. I asked for three Japanese dinner or breakfast recommendations and was told “my job is to sell you excursions”. Is this new for Sheraton concierge and I should never ask for local tips?

Many Marriotts they will print off some recommendations or tell a long story about their favorite places.

We come every year and alway stay at the Sheraton Waikiki. They have an amazing staff, great amenities, and the best views from your room. With kids, their pool is perfect with shallow depths, sun pads, and a water slide. You walk off the pool deck right onto Waikiki beach. The best of pool and beach in one! Poolside service is very attentive and friendly. We always try to stay in Lock’s area as she is the best server. She makes great recommendations and my kids feel like she is an auntie!

Beautiful grounds, amazing views, ideal location. Beach access is quirky. Room was nice with great views. Friendly staff. Great upscale shopping.

Very large and busy resort.

Some areas could use a facelift. Rumfire restaurant was awful.

Traveled with our daughter, SIL and a toddler. Called the hotel directly for reservations. They made sure we had connecting rooms. The hotel was recently remodeled. Rooms are modern and spacious. Convenient location to shopping, restaurants and right at the beach. Pools were great. Booking tours were easy in the lobby and across the street. Taxis were readily available. No need to rent a car. Staff was friendly. Will stay at Sheraton again!

Room tip: Book a high floor overlooking the pool, beach and Diamond Head. Don’t miss the Triple Mango at Baskin & Robin by the pool.
