La Mer is rated 5 diamond restaurant, only two exists in the State of Hawaii, the other one doesn't have an ocean view. This is the best fine dining restaurant in all of Hawaii, and one of the top fine dining restaurants in the world.

Tasting menu is $400/person, which includes 7 courses plus wine pairing; however, you actually get 9 courses with this instead of the 7 on the menu. Price goes up when you do additional add ons.

Bottle of wine starts at $600, the last 2-4 pages are $10,000 and up per bottle.

You will not find another restaurant with better service in Hawaii then La Mer. You are treated like royalty here. Because royalties and celebrities frequently dine here.

The food is top notch here with unbelievably beautiful presentation.

I don't care for sunset because it gets hot, so I perfer to go after sunset and enjoy the beautiful ocean view (they have lights) and the ocean breeze is perfect. Going later also avoids the crowd so you get better seating.

Nothing comes close to La Mer in Hawaii. If you enjoy fine dining, this is a must. Reservation required, JACKET is required for men. This is a dressy restaurant and the only restaurant in Hawaii with a 'jacket required' dress code.

I have been here several times and each time I am even more amazed by this restaurant. 6 stars out of 5. This is one of my top 10 fine dining restaurants in the world.

Alain Ducasse once said, “Food is one part of the dining experience. The mood, the atmosphere, the music, the feeling, the design, the harmony between what you have on the plate and what surrounds the plate count as well.”
Our dining experience here at La Mer - L’Apertif was way beyond that. It was as exquisite as dining in a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Food was divine and cooked to perfection. My spouse and I can say that they served us French cuisine in Hawaiian ingredients and flavours.
Staff members were friendly, welcoming, effective and have high attention to detail. Service was excellent because it was a team effort. Special mention to Steven, Alex, Dan, and Subrina who made us feel at home throughout the night.
It was indeed unforgettable and awesome moment. We highly recommend La Mer!
Keep it up and all the best.

P. S.
We greatly appreciate Chef Trancher for spending the time and effort to meet and have a photo taken with us.

Best fancy food that we had in Hawaii; approachable and effective service, especially with respect to wine pairings. Would go back.

If you like French cuisine on a Polynesian Island, this is a good choice. A warm welcome combined with well timed service makes you at ease in front of palm trees and the ocean breeze. Professional attendance to your menu choices and a expensive but well selected wine list let’s you create a fine dining experience. We enjoyed this dinner.
