Convenient location located in Honolulu’s China Town. The restaurant provides for no parking, however their is a municiple lot across the street and directly around the corner for a fee. Six of us dined, all ordering different ala carte menu items. While it took 55 minutes to get our main courses, the food was very good. Our waitperson apologized for his mistake and made up for it.

I’d recommend reservations. The Saturday evening we dined, it was standing room only. Danny Couch, the legendary Hawaii performer was playing in the restaurant, which we were not initially aware of. What a bonus.
The restaurant is a BYO with a convenient wine shop adjacent. Prices are not unreasonable. I’ve been before and i’ll be back.

Started next door in the wine bar for a tasting. Got a bottle and went next door for dinner.

Love music was rocking and we sat at the bar waiting for our friend to show. Staff was super friendly and no corkage fee since we got the wine next door.

I had the apetizer special and the main special. Both were delicious. Ladies had French onion soup and hasco buco and salmon. Both also delicious. We finished with chocolate creme brulee....yum yum yum.

I called this an event, not dinner, because the entire experience was sublime. First the wait staff encouraged us to check out the free wine tasting next door, and if we bought wine, they would welcome it without a corkage fee (same owner for wine shop and bistro). We bought a nice Pinot Noir for dinner. Had two appetizers, the escargot and clams. We shared two main courses, HASR Bucco (tender, tasty) and Cioppino. Everything was delicious! Owner Terry made us feel so welcome, we felt like best friends. The guitar-playing singer brought my girlfriend to tears! Will definitely return.

This combination of Mecca for wine and saki lovers combined with a great bistro next door that will give you corkage on your purchase of dinner makes for perfect pairings. The wine prices varied enough for any budget but this is definitely where you go for medium to high end wine on Oahu. The tasting was great and solved the question of what to pair with our meals next door.
Ah, next door. What a great find in China town for a local owned bistro with amazing portions of well loved dishes; Steak, caramelized pork chop(more like an entire pork loin roast!) fresh fish, and really cool starters like the ahi nachos-yummy. Do what ever you need too, drive, trolly, cab,or UBER to HASR Bistro and enjoy

The service is very friendly yet professional. The food is generally very good but very pricey. I enjoyed my visit but doubt I will go back.
