Ok...it's Waikiki Beach...you gotta go see it. It's a beach, great view of Diamond Head and kids acting like surfers.

Soft sand and surfing! Great place to see and be seen. Lots to do, surf, sail, sun and drink!! Busy beach but a great place for a walk.

I have seen photos of Waikiki Beach at the turn of the 20th century, and it was beautiful. Today, it is crowded with people and concrete structures. Moreover, the water is now much closer to shore, leaving less beach area to enjoy. I saw a photo of the Moana Surfrider in the early 1900s, and the water was very far away from that famous banyan tree in the middle of the courtyard. Today, the water is almost to the concrete block of the hotel. Tried looking for a place to lounge around on the beach in front of the property, and was not successful. This is one sure evidence of global warming! Alas for Waikiki.

As our hotel was right on the beach at Waikiki it was so easy with two small children, convenient to everything.
